This was our first time ordering takeout. Sadly I don’t think I will do that again; not sure if I’ll even dine in again. When I got home one of the meals looked as if somebody just threw it in the container and shook it up it was horrible. The chicken was very bland had no seasoning at all very disappointed. I requested that the red sauce and green sauce be removed it was not. With the fajitas there were more peppers and onions than anything else. The three meat fajitas is what was ordered there was not 3 meats in the container. Again flavoring was horrible as well. I was very disappointed, we dined in before and the food was delicious. I’m just going to assume ordering takeout is not their priority of tasty delicious food. If you dine in you get better food quality!
Amazing restaurant overall! The restaurant brings in the feels of Mexico! Through all of the various colors and the bilingual servers. The place is always kept pretty clean and the service is, most of the time, very nice. There are only a few servers who will give service that ends in the poorer side, but most are great! The food is, in my opinion, reasonably priced and is again, most of the time, very good. It all depends on the time that you go. It's great when the restaurant is busy, but can lack in certain areas if they are not busy. They give you complentary chips (which are not always warm), salsa, and a white salsa. Again, overall this restaurant is great and I recommend it, just go during the right time, which can be hard to calculate sometimes! If you're in town, or want to try something new, this is a great spot!
The food was absolutely fantastic & the service was spot on. I would love to go back for round 2. The staff was very kind & very helpful. I went there today with 3 of my friends & they also would agree with me. I'll be back there hungry for more of some of their awesome nachos. The chicken was perfect combined with the acidity of the tomatoes, cheese, & beans. The garnish was beautiful as well. I hope to see the gracious staff again soon. It has a wonderful atmosphere & such kind & wonderful staff. Thank you for your hospitality.Sincerely,Davey aka Lord Raygon
My friend and I normally go here on a weekday, service and food been fabulous. Today Sunday we decided to go. Everything was just bad. So much so we are not coming back. He ordered hard Tacos with beef and the shells became so soft because of too much oil or grease. The waiter only checked on us when it was time to pay. Had to bag myself. We spent $60.00 with the tip. Should've went to Taco Bell. Today, we felt discriminated against because we are a bi racial couple and because of our age differences.
Do you know the secret to happiness? Have you ever been unhappy in a Mexican restaurant? Exactly.Great food at a great price. The Grande Burrito is GRANDE for a reason. Don't say you weren't warned but it's definitely worth it. The white ranch/mayonnaise/hybrid salsa, whatever it is, is delicious.
I wish i had more pictures and i should as often as i have eaten here. the picture is of the carnitas dish which is slow cooked pork. absolutely fantastic and portion size is almost more than you can eat. my go to spot for Mexican food. Best in Fredericksburg. the 32oz modelo negro beer is like 8.99, the lunch carnitas is around 9 dollars and the dinner portion is 11.95. i have had the fajitas, chicken being the best i think, and again very generous on portion size, unlike across the street at the other Mexican restaurant which is a little skimpy. i did try the shrimp fajitas and they were ok, but i prefer El Paso when it comes to seafood dishes due to the size of the shrimp, Mexico Palace's shrimp as not as large by comparison. service is second to none, Eduardo is the best. i have probably eaten here about 30 times, at least, and never had a bad experience, beer always cold in a frosty mug, food always good, very very consistent as far as quality. the carne asada was also good, had that a few times, but it's mostly the carnitas that i go for since they are as good as those little hole in the wall strip mall gems you sometimes find (like taco Jalisco in Alexandria used to be) where they have amazing street tacos. Mexico Palace holds it's own by comparison and they have the best carnitas of any Mexican restaurant that i have been to in recent memory. they are always busy, and i'm happy they are so close by to me in terms of location.
I am the guy who likes to order what is not on the menu… they delivered.Big time.Fresh soup, great service and this creation.Magnificent.
This is probably the best Mexican food in the area. They are always so friendly, quick service. I have been going here for months now and have never had a bad experience. 100% authentic Mexican food. The menu is large and has something for everyone.
First time there. Restaurant building and environment were very impressive. Disappointed when food was awful (Cheese Enchiladas). Could not eat, felt ill after eating a small amount, and will never go back. Husband disliked his food as well (beef Chimichanga). Waiter didn't find it concerning at all that we didn't eat.
First, the chip were stale. So I asked for a fresh batch. They came back warm but still stale. Salsa was bland. The amount of food was generous but, the quality is terrible. I had a "burrito" that had shrimp and chicken, the chicken had no flavor and was over cooked, the shrimp was way over cooked and I could barely chew it. There was only cooked bell peppers, onions and meat un my burrito so it was more like a fajita pretending to be a burrito. The dessert and sangria was very good. But the main meals were terrible.
