We came because of Stranger Things! Everything was fun and tasted great! We really enjoyed ourselves and everyone was very nice! We will be back!
This is my family’s favorite pizza spot. Can’t beat the buy one get one deal. We’ve tried many pizzas, and we are never disappointed with our selection. Food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Restaurant is clean and the staff has always been so friendly and attentive. Tonight was their Stranger Things event and the menu was genius! We loved the Upside Down Pizza! The restaurant was decorated to take you to the Upside Down and it was impressive. So much attention to detail! They were pretty busy but it was a great team, our drinks were always refilled and they provided A+ service. See y’all next time!
We’ve eaten from J’s before and have always been very happy with the food and their service. Yesterday, we celebrated my daughter’s birthday and we had their pizza delivered (so happy they deliver to us, not a lot of places do). They were on time, pizza was delicious, and sliced smaller for kids. We had many parents say how much they liked the pizza and asked where it was from. We barley had any leftover! Also love their community interaction!
Went for dinner and had their Italian sausage. My husband had the Buffalo chicken sub. All was really good. The staff and owner are all very pleasant. Introduced us to the Knightingale ice cream sandwich - highly recommend. Planning to go this weekend for Brunch - trying the pineapple upside down pancakes.
The worst place ever!!!! I ordered online paid for it they called me back updated my order because something was wrong apparently charged me again. call me again said that was also teach transaction didn't go to should I ask my details again and charge me 3rd time time. I ordered the pizzas at one in the afternoon ask them to deliver it by 5:30. they were late delivering the order and they brought the wrong pizzas call them back they said they are on a dinner rush they cannot change it now I should wait. are used to order from them every Friday they have messed up so many times but I thought I would support small business owners one night I waited 2 1/2 hours for a pizza I was sick and couldn't drive and I don't even stay 2 miles away. Very very bad management and very rude people
What a stellar, Veteran-owned restaurant with an inventive menu, kind and top-notch service, and fresh, out-of-this-world offerings. Our server was amazing and so on her game - bummed we didn’t catch her name. The owner even stopped by toward the end and was so gracious and warm.My mom ordered the Plantains Foster pancake stack (such a smart twist on bananas foster). The pancakes were served with hot syrup (a nice touch) and piled with tender, sweet plantains and a caramel-like sauce. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles breakfast pizza and it was easily the best pizza I’ve ever had. The pizza crust was insane - so light and airy. The pizza was studded with waffle pieces, breaded chicken, scrambled eggs, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and then coated with a sriracha maple syrup (almost a hot honey vibe; gave it just the right amount of sweetness). The flavor combination was to die for. We shared Goose’s Potato Hash (a must order!) and some sweet potato fries (seasoned to perfection and served with a delish aioli). The potato hash was served in a hot dish, casserole-style, and was seasoned and baked to perfection. It was loaded with cheddar cheese, shredded hash browns, sour cream, and crispy potato straws on top (the perfect touch, adding a little crunch). We also loved that the coffee was served in glass mugs, which was a nice elevation of your classic white ceramic diner mug.In my opinion, they are doing brunch like no one else. They put a fun spin on breakfast classics and they execute it impeccably, putting them in a league of their own. Their menu is thoughtful, approachable, and light-hearted. Not that Fredericksburg doesn’t have a killer food scene of its own, but truly, you’d almost think you were in a particularly hipster, foodie city like Asheville, which is really cool.J’s would be well-suited to a special occasion (already mentally making birthday brunch plans), while also being the perfect spot to make an ordinary weekend feel special.Their brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 9-1. Add this one to your list, and build your weekend around it. It’s THAT good.
Had lunch here today and it was the best salad I've ever had! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The new owner is great and the place is so clean. Everything on the menu looked so good I ordered more to take home because I didn't l couldn't decide. Will definitely be back to try more things on the menu!
Delicious food, wonderful service. I’m not one to post reviews of restaurants, this is my first one ever. Don’t let any of the older reviews sway you, those were under a different owner. The new owner is personable and obviously has wonderful taste. Everything from the salads, pizza, and desserts are amazing. I will definitely be returning again soon.
Is OMG a word??? Once Christina took over this restaurant, the entire quality from the service to the food to the newly designed dining room, J's Pizza and Subs has taken a turn for the very best! The menu offers more than you could imagine too! Just go and try something, anything... you won't be disappointed...
I had a phenomenal experience working with Christina, the owner, to plan a school fundraiser. We ordered almost 80 pizzas; the order was easy to place, on time and pick up was seamless. Thank you Jay’s. If you’re looking for a delicious and reliable locally owned business to partner with, Jay’s is the place to go!
