I have 2 separate visits within 2 days of each other, which were very different. But still an overall very pleasant experience. On the first visit the waitress was very knowledgeable on the food and was able to honestly answer all our questions. She was even more helpful when it came to drink selection. We got to meet a wonderful man named Bobby. I think he was the manager, he made our experience even better, by periodically checking in to ensure all was well. And stopped to chat for a moment. I did a seafood combo with fried shrimp and fried scallops. It was so good, and you get more than enough to eat. I was stuffed and had only eaten half.My 2nd visit at first seemed a bit more rockier. It took quite a while to be seated and the place did not look to be very busy. Once seated a young lady eventually brought water, but she did not even greet us. Just sat the water down and walked away. We were a bit confused. (The wait and the wait for water with no greeting is why I decided on 3 stars). The waitress was very nice and apologetic for the wait. She was honest and knowledgeable on the food items. The menu is large, so I went with what I know and got grilled shrimp and grilled scallops. Both again very good and filling. All and all the experiences were good overall and I would recommend to a friend.
My husband and I happened upon Fatty’s after 11 hours on the road. What a pleasant evening from start to finish. 5 dollar martinis during happy hour! Need I say more? I will anyway. Excellent food - bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes, gumbo and ahi salad all were delicious and portions huge! We are still talking about the amount of ahi on the salad. Jordan was our bartender/ server and made us some fantastic martinis. When she went to help in the kitchen, Kath helped out behind the bar on her night off to make us 2 more. Everyone was very friendly and made for a very relaxing evening.
Service was a bit off at first. One person our party received the main course before All the apps came and even before anybody elses main course, which was not a good start, but it turned to excellent afterwards. The oysters on the half shell were very fresh, the seafood chowder was excellent, creamy, loaded with seafood, burger was scrumptious, calamari was firm not soggy, seafood platter was plentiful and tasty. We did send back the fajitas, it tasted re-heated and dry as cardboard, but we received a credit for it as well as a discount for the inconvenience. Overall would definitely return. They offer a huge selection of beer on tap you can serve yourself which we thought was convenient. You can try from a myriad of beers. Will return and order the chowder again and the seafood platter, stay away from the fajitas.. LOL
1st visit the crab soup was delicious. Thanks to Alexia for the soup recommendation. We shared the pick 2 shrimp and scallops grilled. They were yummy and so were the fries. Cole slaw was good little too much dressing though. All and all great food and excellent service. We will definitely go ahead and try a burger!
Well, it is different. It is grimey, dank, and expensive. The "self service wall of beer" is not well explained and could of been better done. It did have variety but the taps have so much pressure you end up wasting the beer or getting alot of foam. (Even if you tilt it while you pour) There was one snotty waitress. He specific on what your looking to eat. I wanted a steam pot of shrimp and since I didn't say deveined and peeled, I got shrimp in the shell not deveined steamed in a bag. The only shining light was the bartender Sky. She was helpful and actually tried. Thank you. The rest of the place looks partially put together and could use a deep cleaning. The steam pot for 1 pound cost $35. Im still not sure it was worth it. But they say the seafood is fresh from the market.
Weekend happy hour 4-7!!
Nice place with great drinks. Seafood was cooked very well and seasoned even better. 4 stars due to the quality of service, and I know it’s hard to find good quality employees nowadays but it would be really nice to receive quality service when your paying over 100$ for two people. With all that being said I love the setting of the tap house and all the TV’s to watch sports. We will be back and hopefully receive better service.
Went in to watch football and grab something to eat. Only 3 people were at the bar. Bartender was very attentive and nice. I ordered a salad w/a broiled crab cake and we also ordered Beer Cheese Queso dip w/chips. Salad was ok but the crab cake was super greasy and lacked taste. The dip was so thin & soupy that we couldn’t eat it without it dripping everywhere. We won’t be going back
The food here is good, but not great. Service is friendly and attentive. The price is extremely high relative to quality. If you are the type of person that would enjoy a self serve beer wall, this is a great option. If you are just looking for a good dinner, there are better restaurants in the area at this price point.
Second time here! Our food came out pretty fast with big portions and it was all delicious. The self pour beer is neat, I got to try new flavors for me. Our server was friendly and attentive. So far both experiences have been great.
