Went here yesterday (6/10/2022) at 11:00PM during our long ride home from our north carolina vacation. We took this exit to stop for gas also, tried the crackel barrel but they were closed. So to Denny's we went! First time being in one, it was nice tho and a cute little diner. The host sat us right away for a party of 3. Our server was very nice and helpful. We all ordered coffees, and waters. Coffees were good and nice and hot. i enjoyed them. Next we all ordered, my dad got a pancake breakfast combo with eggs and hash browns, my mom ordered an omelet, and i got the cinnamon pancakes. everything came out delicous and enjoyable. Also the restrooms inside were very clean. My family and I enjoyed our late night breakfast. Cost was efficient and relatively cheap, so that's good. May be back another time if i am ever down that way!
Our food was delivered to the table fresh and hot. Server was very friendly. The place looked pretty clean, but the bathrooms were very clean and smelled like bleach and that was the hands down selling point for me. If a restaurant properly cleans and disinfects their bathrooms, chances are the kitchen is pretty clean too. I will be going back. I deducted a star for parking. It was a bit frustrating but not impossible.
This appears to be a recently renovated Denny’s. We arrived around 6:30pm, before the dinner rush. The staff was very cordial and quickly got us what we ordered with a smile. Especially appreciate the hospitality given the rush that can occur at the dinner. Great spot for a quick pit stop when on the road.
We visit often, it's not the greatest but it's good food. Tables were kind of sticky today, and my husband's food was cold when it was brought out, but mine was fine. I had the french toast slam, and he got the lumberjack slam, aside from being cold, it tasted fine. It did sound like the kitchen was backed up a little, but who isn't these days? The service was good; the coffee was good. It's one of the only places in town where you can get flavored creamer instead of plain cream or half and half, so I love that. Everyone has off days, but we'll still visit regularly.
The forgotten king of comfort food at good prices and service. Better prices than IHop, way better quality than Waffle House, better consistency and variety than other brands. Although I like many items on the menu, Mamma D's Pot Roast deserves special mention. Underrated, deserves a second chance before we lose this restaurant chain, too!
I have not visited a Denny's in some time. In the past it has been an establishment I would patronize solely out of desperation, as was the case on my recent visit.I was very pleasantly surprised, however. Staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to discover that Denny's had vegetarian offerings that met or exceeded comparable chain restaurants. For instance, all of their burgers can be made with Beyond Burger patties. Our server Levi, was exceptional; friendly and polite, helpful and attentive.If you're like me, it may be time to give Denny's another shot.
Stopped in for supper while trying to decide how much farther to travel for the night. At 7pm there were only a couple of other people in the place. Service was quick enough. I had their buffalo chicken sandwich and it was kind of disappointing. The buffalo sauce was just added to the sandwich as a spread like you would ketchup and it made it quite messy to eat. Overall the place was clean but the bathroom was at the point it needed some serious attention. Additionally the place was cold! I tried eating with my coat of but about half way through the meal I had to put it back on. Not sure if they were having heating issues or not but it did not make for a pleasant dinning experience when you are are all ready tired from traveling.
Service was great and this dessert was amazing!
You get what you pay for. Cheap food, short staffed service and a 30 min wait just to order drinks...smh...And once we ordered and receive our food it came to the table under temp, as if it had sat a while. Well I guess with short staff there's noone to pick it up when it comes out...So we paid for cold food, bad service..Never again.
Excellent choice! Great location, clean and friendly staff! My waiter was excellent very polite and attentive! The chef was great..my eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes were awesome!Thanks to the staff!Highly recommend this location!
