If i could do less than 1 star I would. I visited the Fredericksburg location on Sunday April 17 at 11:50am. I placed my order for 2 burgers with sides and 2 shakes. My order number was 3282. After waiting 40 minutes I finally went up to the register because they employee was calling number 3288 and not a single part of my order was ready. When I went to ask if our food would be much longer the employee asked me what item I was waiting on and I explain I have not had a single item called out for my order. The employee stated the system was having issues and they would start on our food now. The second issue is the employee taking our order went to check on the Cheesecake item for a milk shake and said yes they have them after checking with another employee. After waiting 40 minutes to findout no of our food had been made and the employee stated "Oh we dont have the cheesecake item so what do you want."I have just moved into this area and this is my first experience at a Cookout, to say the least this is terrible customer service and I would never go back at least to this location. Just about any other fast food company would be faster and better quality food.
This little gem provider a great stop to get out of 95 traffic. They have a very large menu with incredibly reasonable prices. The staff was so incredibly friendly and patient, they offered suggestions, and just were good people! I will definitely be back and plan on ordering the cheese bites again plus trying more of the extensive menu! They also have tons super thick and creamy milk shake flavors!The only con I have was the bathroom could use a little tlc.
Cook out is a great place to go for some decent food. Though it has a very large variety of food and milkshakes. The service is very fast. I have gone through and gotten my food in less than a minute.
Let me start out with saying the food is a hit or miss. I’d say about 65% of the time it’s good and how you ask for it. The other 35% it’s incorrect. Let’s start with ordering. The person serving me on the speaker originally was a male then changed to a female. We were laughing at something in the car and the person on the speaker asked what was funny? Next, the person on the speaker gives an attitude and says they can serve me at the window. I get to the window there’s a guy who doesn’t say a word to me, takes my money. He gives me my drinks (ends up forgetting the straws which is a pain because you can’t walk in). Didn’t give me a price or how much my change was, nor a receipt. When my food came the guy at the window looked in my bag with his long beard and I literally saw his beard disappear into my bag. Mind you this male did not say one single word to me our entire interaction. After looking at him wondering if he’d even say a word, I saw he appeared to be high as a kite. This all happened around 10:15 on 3/27/22.
Very fast. Suggest you read menu ahead; it's confusing. Burgers only come with what you order, so if you want ketchup, say you want ketchup, etc. Counter service and you seat yourself. Overall great charburger flavor.
Costs is on par with McDonald's for food that is much better. They have basic cookout type food along with many different and delicious milkshakes. If you are carving a simple burger but are tired of normal fast food this is a great option.
Cook Out has always been great. I never had to check my food before leaving. The last two times that I went my order was messed up. I had go back to get corrected. The food and the shakes were wrong. I hope they reset and go back to making sure the orders are correct before handing them to the customers. Especially since it's drive-thru/walk-up only.
I only had a peanut butter oreo milkshake but it was the best milkshake I've ever had. Only reason I am taking a star ? is because my sister ordered a banana milkshake (this is the 3rd time, 3rd location) and they don't have any fresh Bananas despite having 4 "fresh" banana milkshake flavor combinations.She had one once several years ago when she first visited me from NJ and had been craving one ever since. She just moved here to be close to me and has yet to find a location that ever has fresh Bananas.She was seriously tempted to go buy her own bananas and bring it to them to kill her craving #disappointing
When I went through the drive-thru, I ordered two corn dogs, pulled pork barbecue sandwiches and a cheerwine float. However, the corn dogs were overcooked and the float cup was only half full. I hope there's major improvement in preparation of menu items!
Don’t tell them you want something in addition at the window, they’ll throw a fit about it. Decent food for the price. Will mostly likely return, but different location.
