Very friendly staff! Food was delicious! I can never get enough of their famous battered fish. Also tried the lobster rolls and shrimp skewers....so good! Coming from Georgia, I love my sweet tea and Captain D's even has pretty good sweet tea too. And I e found that pretty hard to find up here....lol. You won't regret dining here. They even have fried oysters!!
It's rare but we were in the mood for some fish & chips. Fried food isn't in our usual diet but every once in a long while it's a craving that we usually ignore. Reason for that is that it usually sits in our tummies like a lead weight. We decided that this time we'd go for it & big surprise, it was not only tasty but very delicious & light. No lead tummies, thanks!!

I write this as a former resident who lived around the corner and ate nearly every Sunday at this Captain Ds. This Sunday meal was by far the worst I've had from a Captain D's five years later. I sat in the drive-thru for thirty minutes with no movement. I am handicapped, so the thought of going inside was a stretch for me. I went to their website from the car and ordered our family. When I went to pick up the order, the cashier told me that I only ordered sandwiches. I told him I had ordered a meal. I received two fish sandwiches and the Lobster rolls. I sat in the drive-thru and decided to lessen the wait by ordering online. Why? To pay a fortune for three people to travel back home seventy-three miles away with sandwiches. This order was not a fast food meal around the corner.I was in town to visit my grandmother. I was treated like I didn't understand the ordering website fees and did not get what was ordered. Still, they insisted it was sandwiches only, and that is not the description given on the website or even close to the sandwich-only price. Something needs to be done, so the customer and restaurant see what was ordered and included. Twenty-four dollars for three sandwiches is not okay. Their solution is "Call the store and place an order next time." No, there will not be the next time, and it is 2022, so make the partnerships you have created work for the customer. Don't give me a solution that is easiest for you and does not correct the problem. Continuously improve your brand regardless of your position with the company.
First time at Captain D's and ordered the catfish dish.the meal was excellent! And the staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and bright. Very inviting to have a great meal. Look forward to returning and trying more items on the menu. The place was good fun and the food ONO. Go try.
We have been eating at captain d's in the Fredericksburg location for years but here lately they are not filling orders as timely as they use to and some of the food is coming out cold. I went there with my parents and we ordered separately but my food came out with my mom's food but she had to wait another 10 minutes for her broccoli. They didn't bring out my dad's food until we were almost done and that was about 15 to 20 minutes after me and mom got ours. The servers act like they were aggravated because they had to make more fries because mine were cold. My mom's fried tomatoes also came out cold.
Waited over an hour in line to get not only cold food but they gave me the completely wrong order. Maybe if the employees weren't so busy goofing off with one another they could ensure your order is accurate & fresh after you've waited in line all that time. A complete waste of time and money. I won't be going back
I wasn't impressed with this place but it was okay enough for fast food. On the plus side they have funnel cake sticks for dessert.
The Fredericksburg location senior days are Sunday/Wednesday. The dining areas are clean except for the water stained drop ceiling and dirty air vents. Place needs a renovation. Staff are attentive and bring condiments to your table with the order. The slaw, hush puppies, okra, green beans, and all the catfish/cod entree's are very good with the exception of the deviled crab which is mostly filler, and the tilapia that has no taste. Request extra cracklings with your fish no charge. Reasonable pricing for chain seafood.*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like OMG, awesome, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.
