Went there today and ordered a boba tea. The gentleman who served me Rich was kind and great at suggesting different options. The place looked like it could use a facelift, but I could tell that the staff was working hard and doing the best they could to service customers and tidy up things. I would definitely go to this place again.
Dirty, unkept, owner is rude to customers and employees. Many health code red flags.
The condition of the shop looks so unsanitary with everything being scattered and clearly unorganized. There were dishes on the floor and stacked for days behind the scenes.The drinks are alright. They mostly taste of sugar, regardless of what you get.The manager is questionable. My first time coming here, he was making quit a few sexist remarks to his female employee, basically degrading her and the general population of women. The young woman working had an unpleasant attitude as well. She became verbally and aggressively upset, with no shame expressing it when a line of 4 showed up to purchase drinks about 30 minutes before closing. I don't understand how they're still operating.
The drinks are always pretty good. My issue comes with the store owner, older man that stays in the back. He was incredibly rude to his young employee working there. To the point where she began to openly blame herself and tear herself down. The way he was speaking to her was unacceptable not only as a boss to an employee, but just as a human being in general. Not supporting this establishment again. (And the wait for your drinks is unnecessarily long)
One of the worst experiences ever. The old man sat in the back for three minutes, so we were confused if it was open. I kindly asked if they were open.. he stared at me no reply. So I kindly asked again... no reply he just blinked at me. He finally replied with " how could I not be open, the lights are on". I was very thrown off cause I really did ask in a kind tone. We tried to explain because he was in the back. And there were chairs kind of blocking the entrance. I was really mind blown and thrown back how aggressive he was. I personally don't know why he would be in business that requires atleats decent costumers service. We ended up leaving after he called my father an a--hole. Honestly based on the reviews it seems we dodged a bullet taste and cleanliness wise!
I will never go back. I bought 5 drinks and tipped. The man making the drinks was obviously frustrated and seemed upset, he made it obvious he didn’t want to be there, it made us feel unwelcome and we regretted ordering. The young lady who took our order was friendly. I overheard the man making the drinks snap at her. When I looked at the area behind the counter it didn’t look very clean and I honestly didn’t see a fridge. Once we received our drinks the lady informed us that no one was allowed to touch the glass case or sit our drinks on it to put the straw in (there was limited space). We were not rowdy or disrespectful at all so I was surprised she felt need to tell us this. She said if something broke we would be responsible to pay for it and made sure to tell us how expensive the figurines in the case were. I politely pointed out that there was no sign saying that and if the case was so expensive maybe it shouldn’t be located where it was where people would naturally assume it was there to serve as extra counter space. After we left and drank our drinks we noticed most of them had strong taste of soap. So disappointing. Huge waste of money and time. I wish I hadn’t tipped for such poor service. There is a far better boba tea spot in Old Town Fredericksburg that never disappoints and it’s always fairly busy.
I have been here a couple times and every time I am in this facility the employees are overly rude they act like you’re not there they barely listen to you and they have lots of attitude the establishment is disgusting looking today I go in and my friend orders Boba and the woman completely ignores her and the old man is in the back on his phone. Soon after I decided to buy one it was disgusting looking once I got it and it took them 20 minutes to even get to me let alone get my Boba out once I had received my Boba there were these black flakes all in it and there was literally a hair Once I had started to drink it it tasted like they had tried to poison me it was very bitter and there was this weird white stuff in it which I’m gonna guess with Mlalk and it looks very foamy I will never be coming back to this place again if I could give it is zero stars I definitely would
Clean this place up! The chance I took on this place landed me with food poisoning. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but the health inspector.
I Would never return to this place. I waited 15 minutes to order being the 3rd person in line. I asked for coconut the older gentleman told me to give him 30 seconds to look for coconut in the back. Came back and said he didn’t have any. I chose something else. Everything is unorganized and a mess. When I received my drink the older gentlemen smelled terrible and I was 3ft away from him. Took a sip and tasted terrible. Decided to stir and shake a little just to take another disappointing sip. Threw it away 10 ft from the place. Do not recommend. Also I’ve never left a review on a place until this one.
My drink was overly sweet, barely cold, and this has been the worst Boba drink I’ve had. I would not recommend buying anything from here because friend of mine have had the same experience. It’s also the most expensive drink I’ve got and I just would not recommend it. The woman who served me was very nice though so I wouldn’t say the service is bad.
