We went to Brock's for brunch. I had made a reservation so that we could sit by the window. When we got there we were told that all the window tables were reserved. I didn't want to argue so we took the table we were given. The service was okay. We needed to ask for a spoon for coffee. We ordered an appetizer and it came out with our meal. We had to keep asking for refills. I was disappointed with our visit.
We ordered the scallops special and we were both disappointed. The scallops were 5 and very small with pasta. For $24 you would expect more. Other’s in our group got ribs which appeared to be ok but I didn’t hear any comments.
We liked everything!! What a nice anniversary dinner we had! Food was great, our waitress was lovely and the new renovations are awesome!!!
Lovely restaurant the service was excellent the food delicious our waitress Sabrina T was extremely friendly and made sure everything came out the way we wanted it, we definitely will be back.

Excellent service, wide selection of drinks and bar food, great location with fine view of the river. Food was ok but not great.
My husband and I were in Fredericksburg overnight and had lunch at Brock's Riverside Grill on a recent Friday. We chose this restaurant because it is very close to the Amtrak station. After lunch, we didn't want a long walk to the train station, with luggage in tow. When we arrived at Brock's, we were greeted by several friendly staffers, and they placed our bags in a room before taking us to our table. There were plenty of people sitting outside, enjoying the spring weather as they dined and drank. We sat inside and had a great view of the Rappahannock River. We ordered the crab and spinach dip served with tortilla chips, a small salad, a larger salmon and goat cheese salad, the crab cake platter, creme brulee topped with strawberries and whipped cream, and vanilla rum cake served with caramel gelato. We drank water and my husband ordered coffee, too. Our bill came to roughly $97 before the tip. I am not sure how much my husband tipped, but it was probably $18 to $20, with the grand total at roughly $120. The food was flavorful and presented very well. The blackened salmon and goat cheese salad was substantial enough to be a meal by itself. The fish was flaky and tender, and the goat cheese was mild, creamy and delicious. My husband enjoyed his crab cakes, too. Both desserts were very good. I ordered the vanilla rum cake with the caramel gelato. It was enough for both of us to share, and we should have. The only complaint was about the coffee. My husband said it tasted 'old." The service was very attentive and courteous. Our server kept pace with us, refilled water glasses and cleared plates. When we asked for an overhead fan to be turned off, she was not able to reach it, but quickly found another employee who could. We would certainly return to Brock's. The restaurant seems to be popular with diners like us, who just want a simple meal and also with those who have bigger plans. There are several banquet rooms that can accommodate everything from graduations and weddings to appetizer events and business meetings.
Great staff and environment. Been going for years now. Plenty variety of beers/liquors to suit your needs.
The food was fantastic! Great table service and the teamwork was very evident. Great views of the river and the occasional train passing by made the experience phenomenal.
Nice restaurant with great views and good food
