I stumbled across this mediterranean restaurant and that was the best stumbled I ever made the customer service and food was better than excellent and I'm definitely returning
Food was fresh, hot, and very delicious. We stopped at this restaurant for a late lunch based on reviews we’d read. we are glad we did! I have food allergies and sensitivities, including gluten and dairy, which they were able to accommodate. If you find yourself in Fredericksburg looking for a quiet, unpretentious spot to eat, try Baba Ghanoush Mediterranean Cafe.
Went with a group and we had the chicken kabobs, gyro, Salad and curry and baclava. Everything was very good. Only ding was the fountain drinks were flat. Will go back for sure
I went b/c someone rec. the chicken saag. It was good, but the menu said $12.95 and she charged me $13.95. Then, on a $13.95 check, there were selections where I could tip $5, $7 or "custom". For TAKE OUT. Say what?! The woman does not even smile when she waits on you and is always in the back so you have to wait awhile before she even comes to take your order. The food is good it is rude to demand over a 20% tip on take out, especially when you can't manage to man the front and make people wait and then do not smile when you greet them. Wow. Just wow.
Yum yum YUM! If I could give 6 stars I would! Online ordering does not offer the plates option, but that is what I get.. chicken shawarma, specifically. It comes with 2 sides, the only one I care for is hummus (which is very yum). They allowed me to get extra Naan as my second side. It comes with 2 sauces, one garlic paste stuff and one jalapeño creamy stuff. I recommend getting extra bc they are just. that. good!!! Order ahead or allow about 20 minutes bc they make everything fresh in the back. My only complaint is that they do not have traditional lebanese salads like tabbouleh, but I forgive them bc they make up for it in main dishes =)
The food is usually pretty good, depending on who is in the kitchen. Proper sanitation and food handling definitely needs work.What’s the point of wearing gloves or washing hands (which I rarely see), if you’re just going to touch everything anyways?! GROSS.Proper sanitation and food handling should always be a priority, but ESPECIALLY now with COVID. Just some things to be considered.
Delicious food, some of the best Mediterranean I have had in a while. Would 100% eat here again if in the area. Would have uploaded a picture if I didn't scarf down my food so quick.
