We visited from Michigan. This was truly the best ice cream I have ever eaten. We even went back for a second time before we headed home. The girls working the counter were so sweet and even offered taste samples. When we visit again, Abner's will be on our list of things to do.I had the banana pudding ice cream. It was very good!!
Employees just huddled together while we waited for service like the sign said, took a little bit for them to notice. After being given the ice cream they all just walked away to serve a group of people. Don’t think you need three people to take a single groups order. Could have easily walked out without paying, but we didn’t. All of that for what I would say is pretty mediocre ice cream. It was my first time here so maybe I just wasn’t a fan of the flavor, I’ll still try this shop again to maybe get a better feel of this shop.
If you want the best ice cream in Fredericksburg, this is the place to go to. This is 100 times better than another ice cream business which gets all the praise. This business has over 100 flavors, anything you can possibly think of. I love their chocolate mint and I'm sure the rest of the flavors are good as well. All of the workers here are friendly and make you feel welcome plus you have indoor seating unlike the other ice cream business.
I visited with my 4 kids today and the staff was very friendly! The birthday cake and cookie monster flavors were delicious! It was nice to see how friendly the staff was with the kids.
Such great ice cream. The waffle cones are really good and not too big or heavy so you're actually able to finish the cone! Ladies were nice and let us test a few flavors before deciding
I was visiting friends in the Fredericksburg area and passed by this place. Pleasant staff, warm service. We got the pistachio milkshake, cookies and cream milkshake and vanilla cone. Really delicious ice-cream
This ice cream is so wonderful, the best I’ve ever had! Second best I’ve had was from Rome Italy and this far exceeded my expectations. It’s creamy, delightful, and delicious tasting. A recipe for success.

Abner's cranberry ice cream was as good as any I have ever had. The creamy texture, taste, chucks of cranberries and great medium waffle cone was the perfect way to do dessert after a nice lunch. It is a nice old school shop that has a full array of ice cream treats available, like milk shakes, malts etc. The sample sold me.
Love the flavors and the service. Always greeted with a happy warm welcome and their ice cream is absolutely delicious. A definite stop most times we go to Fredericksburg.
