always wanted to try this brand and finally got a chance to. my husband got the marinated drunken ribeye which was awesome! the chef cooked it perfectly and the taste and char was out of this world. I tried the calamari and Brussel sprouts along with a farm greens salad which were also great. Mayron gave some great recommendations for my husbands beer flight. literally the best Brussel sprouts and calamari I've had. only regret was we were too full to try any desserts.
Fun vibe to this place, unfortunately the kitchen let down the super service . Same meal returned three times before we just gave up. Management did a great job in expressing their concern and backed up all the efforts of our server. The calm and measured response to the issues by the managers saved the evening. Give this place a try, just don't order hamburgers.
This place is fairly good. The decor and the place itself is lovely, but the food was very overpriced in my opinion (good, but very overpriced). However, the beer was good and the prices were very fair. The staff were okay, some of the staff were very friendly, but some were not so friendly. Not one staff asked me how I was doing, and only one staff responded to my “thank you.” Etiquette is a big deal for me. Otherwise, this place was fairly good and I might or might not come back…
We came on Saturday to avoid the Sunday rush—and it was great. Lauren was an excellent server. We over ordered, but nobody complained about taking home the leftovers. We had calamari, egg rolls and fritters to start, along with a double order of fabulous ozzie rolls, to start. We had ribs, roast chicken, jambalaya and salmon (adult and kids) for mains. We ended with 2 chocolate waffles and strawberry shortcake. Everyone left full and happy!
Food is alright, kind of too salty for my taste. I had the bacon cheeseburger, which was way saltier than other bacon cheeseburgers I've had elsewhere. They seem to make it saltier so old people can taste it. This is the kind of place where you'd take your Midwestern relatives because it's guaranteed to have something that everyone would like: pasta, steak, burgers. Beer isn't bad, they have a lot of it. There is no list of what they currently have on tap though. They rely on wait staff to tell you which ones are on tap and don't even print off a daily list or anything. Staff were great and very efficient, things came out quickly.
Classic American fare with an extensive, rotating beer and cocktail menu. Our orders of southwest chicken salads and wood-grilled chicken breast came out quickly, although the quality of the pasta and salad toppings seems not to be the best it could've been (e.g. the pasta was barely garnished with sauce and not al dente). Bread rolls came out hot and crisp, and the bread pudding dessert was an amazing combo of hot, sweet/vanilla bread pudding and ice cream, with a side vanilla (creme anglais?) sauce. The sides and beverages are the stars here. Service was attentive, if somewhat obsequious, and the noise level is sometimes loud. Be prepared for 45 minute waits during peak dinner hours on weekends.
Very good food and friendly ervice. Reasonably good value for the money. Very nice ambience.French fry portion is a little small, but otherwise everything was fine
Decided to try this restaurant, which is close to where we live, for my birthday lunch. Matthew was our server. While he never actually asked us how our meal was, he walked by often to check our progress. I guess he saw we were enjoying the hot, lightly salted shoestring fries and our burgers. We will be back to enjoy your patio dining and other menu choices when the weather decides to warm up a bit as the day was windy and cold. We arrived a little bit before noon to lots of available seating. I suggest you also arrive early as, even on a Saturday, the place started to fill up at noon. Obviously a favorite of many locals.
I give this restaurant 6 STARS ? ? ? ? ? ?One of the best eating experiences I ever had. The food was excellent and full of flavor, the customer service team was second to none! My family and I will definitely be going going back!
Hadn’t been to Sweetwater Merrifield in years…great to find it even better than I remembered for a fun family dinner. Kyle hooked us up with his friendly, capable service. A rediscovered favorite.
