Very good food and service with an old school vibe. They had live music when we were there, which added to the old school feel. Will definitely go back when I am in the area.
Old school Italian place in a place that is old yet cosy. Has an old jazz bar kinda of vibe that you can't fake. Great vibe and live music on Fridays is a vibe! Great appetizers and enjoyed my veal parmesan especially at a reasonable price in this day and age.
Cute spot, live music on Tuesdays, and a very warm and welcoming staff and environment. Better hangout spot for 40s+ crowd, I think. A little pricey but the food is good and fresh. Love their calamari!
Such a lovely restaurant. The ambience is great. Takes you back to The Rat Pack era...loved it. Oh yeah, the food was good, lol. My husband said it was the best lasagna he ever had. Server was very personable and attentive. Definitely worth going back.
My husband took me there for my birthday dinner and it was delicious. I had a prim rib that was so tender and delicious. And now I order pizza for my hungry friend who doesn't like to cook. They deliver isn't that wonderful. After two brain aneurysms and a heart attackI Don't feel like walking there. But. If you have a car please go enjoy. There's nothing like Italian food to warm the heart.
I have a sentimental attachment to Pistones, and it is a well-earned one. I travel to Italy on business fairly often and let me tell you, if you close your eyes, you are dining in Italia. Their chix "Petti di Pollo," with cheese, prosciutto and mushrooms is to die for. I can barely finish it. The appetizers, along with the bread and oil is just like the "home country." Let's not forget to mention the live music and dancing most nights with Lou and other gifted entertainers (no cover charge but tips gratefully accepted) accompanied by the friendly, welcoming regulars.
Hands down one of the best REAL Italian places I have been. It's not no olive garden!! Real Italian food!!!
Friday night and late getting off from work. In the neighborhood so I thought pasta and sauce. but the Calamari was on time and the Fettuccine was a good choice, the service was solid but I was alone so not a big challenge. Good value and proper kitchen. Will get back back to try the seafood offerings as soon as time allows. Thanks for a good meal.
Mediocre Food, VERY RUDE Bartenders at Pistone's. My godfather was Mario Nicola Fazio. They never tell You what kind of wine with specs. Just lazy reply: Pinot Grigio Chardonnay, Cabernet sauvignon. But what kind I have to ask. He forgets to bring the water and restaurant is always very slow. Tomatoes are ice cold served with mozzarella this is NON no in any good restaurant. The cooks are like former dishwashers cooking. Only good think is the live music there. But this is final I will never go there. I know all the best restaurant in Washington DC and Tysons so why I have to go and waste my time and feel bad after the visit to Pistone's. On top the place need major cleanings. Refrigerators in the bar area were not cleaned for years so how I can trust your kitchen? I am International food and wine expert.
I love everything about this place. The ambience. The food. The staff. It's comfortable and that's what matters. And we've been several times and have never been disappointed!
