I just moved back to the U.S. from Japan and was highly impressed with my experience at Peking Gourmet Inn.I know this isn't a Japanese restaurant but the food was delicious and prepared in a timely manner. We ordered the Peking Duck, the Spicy Scallops and the Pork Fried Rice. The Peking Duck was delicious but my friend mentioned the sauce was a little different than what he is used to on the west coast. The walls are full with photos of dignitaries and celebrities and it costs us about $75 when we split the bill in two.The servers were polite and my friend and I left extremely full and satisfied.

I used to go to this restaurant so many times so I know what to expect. BUT the quality of food has gone SO BAD recently. Peking duck was very dry and the portions got ridiculously smaller. We also ordered a pork dish too, and it was too oily with weird seasoning. Not worth $ at all. Even one star is too much based on my recent dine in. So sad because it used to be my favorite place. Never coming back.

Peking was the old name of Beijing before 1949.I m from Beijing, so when my friends recommended This restaurant, I definitely was excited to try. We a group of 50 people came and had dinner yesterday. The restaurant walls are filled with pictures of politics and celebrities. The seafood (scallops) soup was the best of all. I highly recommend it. The signature chicken ? and lamb ? chop were full of flavors. Joe Yen shrimp ? are very nice, crispy and seasoned just right.I didn’t take picture of the duck, I was a bit disappointed with it. The sauce is not the authentic sauce, and the Duck was not roasted but fried, the meat is a bit too lean, however all my friends that never had Peking Duck before were happy with the duck dish. So I give a 4 stars.

Best Peking duck anywhere. There has never been anything there that I did not like. There is a reason why the walls are covered with pictures of celebrities and the powerful who have eaten there. People in the know eat where the food is good. I liked it enough that I had my graduation dinner there 20 years ago. Now that my kids are old enough, I brought my family to DC for vacation and made a point of bringing them here so that they could know why this was one of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time.

I visited twice time when I stayed in Washington DC. The Peking duck taste was good but a little pricey. The service was good also.

The restaurant made some of the worst Chinese dishes I have ever had. The duck skin was like made from raincoat materials. The fish in the picture was not fresh, it was smelly and badly prepared.

Christmas Eve Lamb Chops, Peking Duck and fried dumplings. All amazing!

The restaurant is extremely overstated!! The quality of the food, the service, the ambiance and the location do not match up the very high prices! We ordered the Schecuan shrimp ($35), which was tasteless and it came with only some scallions and a bunch of dried whole chili peppers. We also ordered broccoli with mushrooms and, again, tasteless and the broccoli was cut so thick that it was almost impossible to cut and eat, and the mushrooms were from a can! My neighborhood restaurant offers better and more tasty food...I will never, ever eat there again and I do not recommend it to anyone!

This is a iconic Chinese restaurant. The service is excellent and the Peking duck is exceptionally roasted cut up and presented. Everyone working there is wearing a mask.
