The restaurant interior is severely dated and shabby. The food was ok at best.
I've ordered from this place a few times, and it's always a good experience. The veggie combo is awesome. I love the way they cook the fish (if you like who baked fish). I highly recommend this restaurant for something a little different. Enjoy!
Food had decent flavor but nothing was amazing. For one of the veggies, they served plain potatoes and carrots that were unimpressive. Also cabbage. The tibs were very overcooked and also didn't have much flavor nor sauce. We much prefer Enataye in Herndon.
Great Ethiopian food. Really the standard-bearer for Ethiopian food in the area, and there are a lot of Ethiopian restaurants in the immediate area and the Washington region.Know ahead of time that you eat Ethiopian food off of a communal plate by picking it up with njera bread in your hand. Njera is thin, spongy Ethiopian sourdough. It is all a very nice experience. Perhaps completely new and different for you.We got the house specialty beef tips and the vegetarian combo, which is a good way to start your first visit. Some other specialties include honey wine.
Place is quiet, feels very foreign. The food is great and that's what we went there for.

Authentic Ethiopian food with great flavor. Service was extremely slow. But you can't blame them. The restaurant was relatively full with patrons also seating at bar. There were only 2 waitresses and they were taking care of the bar, restaurant and also clear the table. Owner need to get them some additional help.

I tried to convince my date that we could split a vegetarian platter, but he'd never been to an Ethiopian restaurant before and didn't believe that $15 could feed both of us. We got two platters and mine made two solid leftover meals, and it was absolutely delicious. I'm really glad we stopped in here while we were in the area.
We got the kitfo, it was sooo good. First time trying Ethiopian food and we'd definitely return! The injera was so fluffy and delicious. Really good food at a low cost price (15.99 for food that could feed up to 3 people)
