We had scallops and lamb shank -- absolutely delicious!!!
Another outstanding meal at Idylwood Grill. My companion and I started by sharing the calamari appetizer which was great. We were left in peace to enjoy it without being pushed to order entrees. The owner came by our table and sat with us for a few minutes-- nice personal touch. Entrees were excellent as always, but with the generous portions we were too full for dessert. Service was attentive but not pushy.
I have been going to Idylwood Grill since they opened in 2005. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The wait staff and managers are knowledgeable and very helpful. It is a wonderful neighborhood place that should be discovered by others outside of the Pimmit/Falls Church area.

We havenât been here, since beginning of Covid. Seems to be same competent kitchen and dining room staff.
This is my go to restaurant. Warm greeting from the owner. He recommended the tuna special, which he said he had just picked out. It was outstanding. Service prompt and professional.

Enjoyed the shrimp ajo appetizer; scallop/ risotto and crab cake/ rigatoni entrees; and German chocolate cake. All flavorful. Great friendly service; helpful and there when you needed them but not overly so. They had a man playing keyboards and the decor made the evening comfortable. Enough space between tables to not worry about sharing air.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal celebrating my mother's 94th birthday. The staff was wonderful and made her feel special, even bringing her a delicious slice of chocolate mousse cake with a candle! We will definitely go backð
