I really love that they have a section of their menu that list traditional meals. I chose 3 of those at random and the food was amazing. I lived the smoky fried rice the most.

We got the Hung Lay Curry and Lard Na Moo Mug. The curry tasted like a really good pot roast. If I wasn't at a Thai Restaurant I wouldn't know it was Thai food. The cornstarch in the noodle sauce made the chicken and noodles soggy, but that might just be my dislike of gelatinous sauces in general. That's just my preference. The taste of the noodles was fine, but unremarkable.I wasn't a fan of the sticky rice in a plastic bag, but they said it's required to preserve the texture of the rice.Prices and portions are acceptable. Service was great. Overall, this place is fine. I got diarrhea after eating here, but my friend didn't, so I don't know if my dinner here was to blame.

Awesome Thai restaurant, definitely a hidden gem. They have awesome daily specials and some of the best tom ka gah I've had in this area. Definitely suggest to friends to check out

Good food, reasonably priced and warm/friendly staff

Ordered takeout and it was amazing. Everything was full of flavor, fresh, and delicious. We had several dishes for the family which included Fried noodles with brown sauce, Shrimp in Tamarind sauce, Crispy Salmon with Mango Sauce, Basil Fried Rice with Chicken, Mixed vegetables with fresh ginger, Thai dumplings, and Green Curry with Shrimp. We customize the spice level for each dish, and they were all correct. Our taste buds are still singing from last night's dinner.

Everything I’ve eaten here is super delicious and authentic Thai fine dining. From the standards like satay, Tom Yum, Tom Ka, drunken noodles, pad Thai, Panang curry, green curry, Gra Tiem Prik Thai, to more creative specialties like the Elephant Jumps salad and drunken spaghetti, if the ingredients sound interesting, then they probably do it well and you should try it!

It’s disappointing that staff was not wearing masks, the day that DC declares a state of emergency and has an all time high of Covid cases. I’m from the west coast where Thai is best, so I’m a bit picky. But, Pad See Ew was really good, loved the fresh broccoli. Green curry needs more veggies but has good flavor. Mango good but sticky rice was not great quality- too gelatinous.

Excellent green curry and Jasmine tea in a cool night. Dined in, exceptional service…meal was delivered hot and quickly! Great server who was impressed I used chopsticks! Very convenient location, very price günstig!!!!!

Sooooooo my pictures don't do me this place justice.Restaurant: No frills. Hand menu given as well as QR code. All food came on plastic or in aluminum containers (blame covid).Food: So much flavor in all of the dishes. Reminded my friend and I of our time in Thailand.*Whole flounder with mango sauce. Mango sauce was very similar to the papaya salad*Tamarind shrimp (minus like 4... too hungry to wait)*Drunken noodles (forgot to take a picture ?)Experience: Prices are reasonable. Service was amazing.

I stumbled upon this place 3 years ago. In town for a training. I read the name “dancing elephant” and saw this little hole in a wall restaurant tucked between salons and a sushi place. I was smitten by ambiance and food was absolutely delicious.Held the aromatic deliciousness of its food against other Thai restaurants in town. The authentic ambiance and melody of spices with robust flavors made this little place unforgettable in every sense.Fast forward it today… it falls flat against its town set standard. French jazz in playing, serving washed down curry which are easily passable for soup and cold white rice. What happened to this place ?Maybe the chef was replaced. Or maybe luster of being in Washington’s best restaurants tarnished its own authenticity and washed down its curries.Maybe it’ll get better, but why come here when you can bargain in your hard earned money for warm, flavorful food elsewhere.
