Great nachos, bartenders and probably servers, usually sit at the bar, are top notch. There is not one bar item on the menu! Probably should mention great local beer selection.

I recently visited Dogwood with my mom for Mother’s Day. The food was good but the service was clearly lacking. To be frank the restaurant is not diverse and our server Mike G. was impersonal an un attentive. We were left waiting for his service for long periods of time with no flow up after placing our order. He attend to other tables right next to us, filled their glasses, and quickly served them food while we were left unattended an frustrated. We spoke to the manager an received compensation by deducting from our bill but that’s all. We left unhappy and very disgruntled on how we were treated. Honestly, it isn’t a comfortable space for minorities. This was our first an last time visiting. I don’t recommend this restaurant. I hope this leads to some discussion to be had with staff on how they treat their minority customers. Please consider before attending this restaurant.

Super-cute spot. Party of 3 - we had dinner at an outside tsble with my pup. The food was fresh and really good (the falafel wrap was delish) and the drinks were great as well. Friendly service and no problems with parking on a Saturday night. Can’t wait to go back!

I have never wrote a Google review before, but I needed to for this place because last night I had the worst service interaction I’ve ever had at a restaurant. A group of friends were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and we brought in cupcakes. We didn’t know this was not allowed, and our server brought out plates for us for the cupcakes... no indication this was a problem. A different server came up to us after the plates came out and told us that they were adding a fee to our bill for the cupcakes, she was very quick with her words and rushed away without the option for us to ask any questions or respond. At the end of the night, we had a $20 “cake cutting fee” added on our check. Nobody told us (the hostess, server, etc) the cupcakes were a problem so we were pretty surprised to see this high of a fee on the bill. When we asked about this, the woman came back and very rudely told us “we should have known” it’s “common sense” - basically shouting at us in front of other patrons. We explained if someone were to have told us this was an issue, we would have simply put the cupcakes away… no big deal! She even stormed off mid conversation and continued to actually glare at us until we left. Extremely unprofessional and very uncalled for. We had even already paid the bill but were just trying to understand what was happening. Our friend got upset on her birthday because of this, and it made us all feel pretty discouraged. We all live in the area, and needless to say we will not be coming back after such a horrible experience.

This place was very cozy the minute you walk in and had great patio area with heaters so I could enjoy being outside while having a great Ribeye plate. Ribeye was at the right temperature, but a bit chewy for my taste. Also, my waiter did a good job on checking in on me even though I was the only one sitting outside. Definitely a go-to if you want American comfort food ??

Now that I’m leaving the area, I will update my review as this has been my favorite local restaurant. This has been my go to place in Falls Church for 4 years. The atmosphere indoors and outside and service is always great. Huge drink selection that is changing often offering a large selection of beer and cocktails. They have a raw bar on Tuesdays that offers great deals for seafood (though the size of the oysters and mussels reflects the low price). The food menu has something for everyone and has new options often. The egg rolls are the best IMO. This is also the only bar that I know of in the area open until 2am! In the summer, check out the Skybar (upstairs patio and bar). Can’t recommend this place enough for a local, reliable place to get food or drinks!

Great food and super friendly staff. Their weekly special drinks and cocktails are so delicious and worth the price. I highly recommend spending time or hosting a happy hour at Dogwood tavern.

Loved the old style sports bar and a restaurant. Food was delicious and service was extraordinary. The lady served the food was very knowledgeable and doing above and beyond with our requests.

They are Covid safe and our party of 9 was delighted with the service. Great kitchen and fast to get the meals on the table. The choice of drinks satisfied all the requests.

Great neighborhood bar with a very cozy tavern air to it, perfect cold weather warm up spot. People are also nice and the service is friendly. They have all the sports games on and will accommodate game requests. Also they have a great little rooftop in the summer months. The food is generally good but can sometimes disappoint. They have fantastic bowl meals and appetizers, great Mahi sandwiches and tacos...but the last two times I got the chili and it was served cold, got it again the next time and again not so warm for a nice tavern feel in cold weather not delivering on hot chili is lame. Also got the burger in my most recent visit it was so disappointing...just a frozen patty that was fried and dry...not what a place like this should do. But good beers, all the games and good crowd!
