Chicken fried steak and eggs, hash browns with sausage gravy. Not bad, the gravy came to the table stone cold, they had to nuke it. Expect to drop 20 bucks with tip per person for breakfast.
When I WALKED INTO CITY DINNER I Said this place was going to be great and it was. My breakfast was served hot and fast. Looking forward to my return.
We finally found our breakfast spot!Since moving to the DMV, my wife and I have tried every breakfast/brunch place that we came across, and each time we were met with disappointment. Most of the places around here either had horrible customer service or disgusting food, but more often than not, both. City Diner provided delicious food and great customer service. Our coffee mugs were full up until we left and they corned beef hash was on point.We will definitely be coming back and I suggest anyone looking for a legit 'hole in the wall' diner experience to go and check this place out.
A great place for breakfast. (and probably for lunch and dinner too!) After my go to breakfast place closed I thought I'd give City Dinner a try and I'm glad I did. Food was very good as was the service. Go and try it for yourself.
I love City Diner. It is my go-to breakfast spot! Tasty food and large portions. But the customer service is really what is most impressive. They truly care about customers having a positive experience and always pay special attention to specific requests on orders.
The food is delicious i tried different dishes they all yummy . servers are so friendly they offer you water,coffee etc. The owner and his boy are so nice everybody make u feel welcome to the point that u want to keep going back
I've been to this place probably 15x or so. Normally, I am not a diner person. I prefer ethnic food. However, their gyro meat is some of the best I've ever had. It goes GREAT on the Greek salad! Their lamb shank is fabulous, as is there crab-stuffed salmon. The portions are very generous and the prices more than reasonable. The staff are also very friendly, attentive, and efficient. I love this place. It feels homey.
Trust me, the breakfast here is probably better than what’s in your kitchen. I mean we’ve never had an ill experience here. The food is delicious! City Diner is our go-to breakfast spot period. But it’s the family and staff that operate it is what does it for me.
Enjoy a simple breakfast or lovely bite for lunch. Not fancy but very comfortable and clean.
This is a very nice Diner. It feels like home and the food tastes like it too. I had the impression that they have a lot of regular customers, which is always a good sign. Generous plate portions, nice balance of flavors, huge variaty of dishes (Italian, Greek, Mexican, American), attentive and corteous staff and quick service...and great prices! Very affordable. We are definitively coming back.
