Wow! What an incredible spot. FC has a dense population of Casual Coffee destinations but to me this is the best one. Amazing Coffee, Breakfast Sandwiches, Baked Goods and Booze Selection. Get there early enough to snag some Beignets on the Weekend while they last.
The food here is quite good and the bread is worth it.
First time in here this morning and I am immediately in love with this café.I started with a cappuccino with their house-made honey lavender syrup. Excellent drink, and I can't rave about that syrup enough.I also ordered biscuits and gravy. What sealed the deal on this place being a new favorite of mine was everything on my plate appears to have been made from scratch. Delightfully wonderful treat if you like down home cooking.Lastly, I ordered a French press just to give their coffee grounds a spin. It was very good, not quite great. But I find brewed/pressed coffee to be a very unique preference to the drinker. It was good enough that I would order it again.They have a nice seating area, half casual and half full service. It's larger inside than it appears, so don't let the street view fool you. There is plenty of seating.Of note, they do have a somewhat odd "no laptop" rule on the weekends. I was told it was due to their weekend volume, but this seems like something being sold to me as being for the customers' benefit when really it is for their benefit. For instance, when I walked in there were two ladies sitting at a four person tabletop talking, coffee long finished. When I left, they had just left themselves. Well over an hour of just taking up a four top with no purchases made. If the intent is to move people in and out, you can institute a no lingering policy. If the intent is to just look like you're doing something for the atmosphere, well...it's not what I would do as a business owner, but it's also not enough of a deterrent to keep me from returning. It's just odd in my humble opinion.Still, I will be back.
Average drip coffee and cafe latte. French toast was tasteless as it taste like toast dipped on milk. Egg Benedict was nice as I replaced ham with spinach. Chocolate croissant is delicious.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Stumbled across this place. The avocado toast (topped with whole avocado and a generous helping of eggs) was a religious experience. Great mimosas too. If you want pastries, come early because they're so popular they do sell out fast.I plan to come back asap.
One of the coolest places ive been too. Super cozy and stadd is nice. They have great breakfast and coffee as well. Didnt know about this place until recently. Would recommend this place for people to come and eat and people watch. Had the french toast. 10/10 would recomend. The cappuccino is good too. Tbey do have alcohol if you so choose to have some. ?

I come here every Friday morning after my workout to have one of their beautiful espresso drinks (or even the house coffee). It’s all deliciously smooth and well made. Everything is presented beautifully, too, which adds to the experience. To top it all off, the staff is super personable and nice. Great way to start my day, please visit Café Kindred ! You’re in for a treat
Friendly staff, clean establishment, and tasty pastries. It was so hard to decide which I wanted, and there were both chocolate and Nutella croissant options. The scones are the biggest I've ever seen. I'm just sad I didn't try this place sooner! The staff wore masks correctly, which I really appreciate. They have a sign on the door that they are laptop free on Saturdays, which is a neat concept. They allow ordering ahead as well as at the counter.Parking in the garage is free; no cell reception below the street level. Google maps wants to go all the way around the block to avoid a left turn when coming from the east on Washington, but there is a left turn into the garage available.
Cafe Kindred was a wonderful place for my sister and I to grab brunch. I ordered the corn beef hash and blueberry muffin. The flavor was fantastic and it really hit the spot. I have not had food like that in awhile so i was happy with my experience. Also the customer service was perfect and incredidibly nice. Vibes were really good!!
