Horrible experience, we were all fasting when we got here. Everyone walked in without being checked on but they stopped us asking for a reservation. I had called and they told me they don’t take reservations. Then they offered us a table by the door which looked like a decor table with your food getting cold before you sat down. Awful service and hospitality with no decency to at least offer a date to break our fast. In this month of Ramadan, I know Allah SWT will take care of this.
I would definitely spend my hard earn $$ some where that has legit buffet menu and can at least put hot food. Only 2 meat items and rest yogurt tray, cold spinach tray, cold lentil tray. Not worth the amount they are charging.
good service and delicious food
Update Dec 2021: everything is delicious as always. Loved their soups l, maantu, eggplant dish, Kebobs, pulao.3 yrs ago: We love everything from the menu! Maantu is to die for
Terrible service and cold food after giving us putting food on table not even once someone came by or check on one of the item missing when I asked removed this from check guy said ok just ok we always tipped 30% of bill we still did never going again here.
I would say this place is hands down the best place to get a taste of the authentic Afghan food in the DMV! Went there for an engagement part any it was just amazing! Only if I lived closer... I'd go there at least twice a week. Can't say enough about this place!Shola was amazing, kofta was on point and sabzi was delicious! The kabobs were a bit dry tho... other than that everything else was finger licking good!
I am speechless for such a wonderful, tasty food. I highly recommend my family and friend to have dinner or lunch Bamian is the best
We had an absolutely amazing time at the restaurant, the food was authentic and mouthwatering! Thank you for the excellent service and can’t wait to visit again!!! Loved the hospitality!
The food was just fine, but unfortunately they don't know how to do there business. They added a 20 or 25% tip to our bill which was really disappointing. Will not go there again and I don't recommend this at all!!!
Worse food ever.Never expected bad quality of Afghani food. As an appetizer, I ordered Sambosay Goshti which looks like Samosa but the taste was blended. It didn't taste either beef or chicken. Then come to the Bamian Kabob as of a main course which was not well enough either. Kabob was too dry and the rice too. Finally, let me talk about the dessert, where I chose to have Baklava since rest of the dessert weren't available at that moment.Baklava was so soggy which taste old oil. Literally, I just had a bite and had to leave the rest.At the end, we have shared our experience regarding to the food and they've decided to replace the other main dish but didn't feel interested after having that quality of foodWon't recommend anybody to come to visit Bamian Restaurant.
