Wooooooow! This place is amazinggggg! Was looking for sweets with vegan options and found this place. Husband is in love! The cupcakes are amazing. Their vegan ice cream sandwich was amazing. Got some cookies and loaf cake to try next. It’s a little pricey but honestly we’ll worth it. The ladies working were absolutely amazing as well! Thanks for everything!

I love this place and go as often as my wallet and fat belly allow. Everything is delicious, but I have a thing for scones. So many places do them wrong, and their scones are very good. The pies by the slice are very good, but if you’ve never been, you should know ahead of time their pies by the slice usually don’t include fruit pies. Finally, their coffee and espresso are very solid, and while they are absolutely a bake shop, I find thinking of this place as a cafe/coffee shop that makes its own pastries more satisfying for my liking. In that light, it absolutely blows the competition away.

I am afraid to review this place lest it get more crowded. But Bakeshop is amazing. Everything is so good and there are lots of vegan options for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. We always get compliments when we bring their stuff to parties.

Cute shop with cupcake, pies, cookies, macaroon and coffee. Cupcake is in cute portion make it easy to eat.The taste isn’t too sweet in which you can enjoy it by itself without having tea or coffee.

In my opinion and experience Bakeshop is making and serving deluxe, high quality, expertly crafted baked goods using fresh, top caliber ingredients. Don’t be fooled by the bouncy visual ambiance these are up market products. The color scheme and display of goods is busy, a Where’s Waldo puzzle shopping feeling.I just discovered this spot and was here twice in the previous week. Nutella croissant I had on my first visit on Monday was excellent as was the plain butter croissant on my second visit on Saturday, February 12, 2022. The plain croissant had classic, crusty, flaky, crumble exterior and the interior was puffy having distinctive buttery aroma and flavor. With respect to the Nutella croissant Bakeshop is generous (generous but balanced - not cloying) with the Nutella filling. Coffee I had was medium body and modestly robust. I also brought home a slice of banana nut loaf and carrot loaf to taste. In my taste opinion the banana nut loaf is sensational; thickly cut slice, dense and moist - a flavor jamboree. Al dente black walnut pieces in the recipe, I am guessing, were soaked. Portion of nuts in the slice was generous and balanced. Also, my taste sensitivity detected a note of clove. I may be wrong but I could be right. The carrot loaf is very good but the banana nut loaf is a run-away. WoW! On my second visit, Saturday, I chose a small chocolate cupcake with raspberry cream icing to take home. Again, an elevated flavor experience.Price point is reasonable for up market confections that are expertly crafted recipes using top quality ingredients in my opinion. As I mentioned, my first visit was early Monday morning last week. I was the only customer during the 5 to 10 minutes in the shop looking over the inventory deciding what to try. I was surprised by the indifferent attitude of the person who semi waited on me. It wasn’t full blown sullen aloofness that is common in the service sector of NoVa, again, in my opinion and experience. By contrast, on my early morning Saturday visit there was a steady stream of customers and several people working the cash register side of the counter who were welcoming and engaged, making it a point to greet customers entering and thanking them for coming when they left. I noticed that the Saturday morning Bakeshop staff recognized many of their regulars by sight and some by name. It was a bit chilly Saturday morning but the air temperature was reasonable enough to enjoy coffee and croissant in the small alfresco area in front of the Bakeshop where I further observed that about 50% of the clientele came by foot from surrounding neighborhoods which makes sense because parking is miserable even by NoVa standards. Vehicle ingress and egress is no picnic either. It is wise to be hospitable to customers in the hospitality business when your overhead is clearly a destination location. Not just on high customer traffic Saturdays. And especially so in a pandemic.

Decided to give this place a try while we were in the area. It's a cute bakery with a large selection of goodies. We got a dozen variety cupcakes, chocolate pudding, taro cake, and pb Nutella pie. I LOVE the taro cake. I love taro everything (tea, froyo, etc etc) so when I saw the taro cake it was a must buy. When I tried it, my taste buds were at it's happiest and it was pure bliss. The pie was pretty good, it was like eating the inside of a recees cup, the chocolate pudding is almost as good as Magnolia's (almost but not quite sadly), the cupcakes are really good. I like that they aren't overly sweet, it's the perfect amount imo, but it is on the dry side. I will definitely return for more taro cake and try other deliciousness. TAROOOOO

Randomly came by this place with my mom and we both loved the place. We both had a slice of the key lime pie and it was delicious. We also got cupcakes which were really good too. Still wanting to go back for another slice.

I was craving something sweet last night and I came across Bakeshop. The options for sweets are unlimited.. from cookies to even sliced cake, bakeshop had it all!The blueberry oatmeal cookie is my favorite!

Cute little shop that sells baked goods. They have cupcakes and they also seem to have cakes, bread, and ice cream sandwiches. I got five cupcakes and apparently every five cupcakes you get one free. I also got an iced latte and it was just the way I liked it! Staff were very friendly and store was clean and well maintained. The cupcakes don’t have any filling in them, which I like because when it has filling I feel like it can be a little too much sweet. But if you’re a person like me I recommend getting their cupcakes! The red velvet with cream cheese frosting and cookie dough (recommended by the staff) was delicious, and both of the salted caramels (chocolate and vanilla) was delicious as well!

This is a cute little coffee shop and bakery. The cappuccino and the ginger snap cookie were good (which is what I purchased). There are some items that I would not try myself, because some of them look as though they could have artificial coloring, and I do not eat anything with artificial coloring in it. I would also suggest adding a recycling bin in the future, because I only saw a trash bin when I came. Otherwise, this is a decent place overall, at least for the variety of coffee and cookies. The indoor mural art is pretty cool too.
