The chicken shawarma bowl was very tasty along with the baklava. The two gentlemen behind the counter were very professional, polite and kind, even taking a little time to play with our toddler. Cool place.
We went there because of the good reviews we saw in various sites. Unfortunately, it didn't leave up to the expectations. Taste-wise the food was unimpressive. It was simply ok. For example in the lamb+chicken kebab I had, two pieces of lamb were not edible (one was very hard to chew and the other was mostly fat). I know lamb is a difficult meat, but I am sure that if they choose better quality meat the restaurant will improve by a lot.
Got French fries , a chicken wrap and a chicken bowel, I couldn’t wait to eat the wrap sorry I didn’t take a picture, Taza Falafel is my favorite place to eat in, the food is amazing and the prices are great! All the food taste good here and they have great customer service and very good maintenance! Thanks to all the employees that work there and made it a great experience!-H.A
I ordered from here for the first (and only) time today. I got the mixed kabob which comes with 2 skewers of ground lamb/beef and 1 skewer of chicken. As you can see in the picture, the lamb/beef kabob was totally raw in the middle. Since this is a ground meat mixture it needs to be totally cooked all the way through in order to be safe. I could not eat this meal. I checked the chicken and it appeared to be cooked through, but the white onion that came as part of the dish was also pretty much raw. It had clearly been thrown on a hot flame just long enough to get charred but it was by no means at all cooked. Also worth noting that this came with two pieces of bread, one whole piece that was wrapped separate and one torn quarter piece under the food. The taste and texture of the piece under the meat was very stale and quite different from the other bread, which I assume was made fresh for this order. Lesson learned, will not eat from here again.

I've tried the place several times now and I have to say that as far as the taste of the food, the way things are cooked, presented and my experience with the staff goes, they got really good stuff for a small place like this, the owner is a nice person too.However, and this might be considered just nit picking, but I noticed that the portions here are noticeably smaller than nearby Middle Eastern places. Ordering thru the web didn't work for me either, but they're quite responsive over the phone and made the order ready on time. Nonetheless I'm glad to find a local Iraqi restaurant in Fairfax! Wishing this place more and more success!
From one Sharwama expert to another don’t walk, but run to Taza Falafel!!! Great food, great service, great people. I can assure you there were no crumbs left behind.

This place used to be really good. It's gone down hill since it opened. I ordered the shawarma, the chicken was not good at all, the sandwiches were really dry. The service was laughable. I called to order, I was told they'll call me back, I never received the call back. Then I called again and was told they were busy and it would take 30min to make the sandwiches. upon pick up, there was no one and they were not busy at all.Any way, it's regrettable it is now such a horrible place. I will not be back and I will inform everyone I recommended this place to in the past to not go back.
The food is good. However, we ordered more than once and the rice is not fresh, and one time was actually tastes pad.I have placed order on their website twice. Both times I arrive to store to pick up the order and they say we didn't receive the order. I have to wait for the order every time to be prepared. They need to fix their website.I still recommend this restaurant because the food is good for the price.
