The place is very clean. The service is nice. Unfortunately the food isn't good. My friend and I went on a lunch break. The food took a long time to come out. When it did, it tasted old and very vinegary.I enjoy Pad Thai once a week trying out other companies. Out of 17 this is the first time I didn't enjoy the food.
We are local and we walk here often for lunch and dinner. Usually this place is good, their portions can be small, but the food tastes good, and the staff attentive. But for mother's day it was all a mess, they forgot dishes we ordered, and when it took over an hour to get the 4 of 6 things we ordered, and then had to wait even longer for them to make what they forgot.By the time we started eating, it was all cold and no longer the quality you'd expect at a restaurant. The wait staff was clearly overwhelmed and the restaurant's priorities were takeout orders and not the diner's in the restaurant. Not once did the staff come to check on us, offer refills, or anything. And then added 20% to the bill?! At the moment, in front of my mother, I didn't want to argue about this, but we will not be coming here again.Do yourself a favor and go nextdoor to Eerkin's.
Where is the 0 star? The worst service. Although the pod thai was overcooked. At least please do not visit on the weekends. I had a wonderful time on previous visit. I invited my friends to buy dinner for them but that was the worst choice. The one of the servers showed the worst service in the world. Also pod thai was fabulous last time but for this time, it was overcooked. I hope you avoid this restaurant if you need to invite your friends or colleagues.
Always love Sisters Thai. Been to their Alexandria and mossaic district locations, this one is smaller but still delicious!!!
One of the worst thai food I ever had. Ordered two entrees and one appetizer. All were bad and saw some insects in there serving tray.
This place is so cute! The restaurant is set-up as a living room and has a calming and attentive ambiance. Service was great! Food was good, especially the fried rice. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area!
Very long wait to be served. I ordered salad and my wife ordered a soup as appetizers. They were brought out 20 minutes apart, with the soup arriving 1 minute before the entrees, so it was not the experience we were looking for. We'll try it one more time since the food was quite good
I'm so sad that for a 2nd time our food from Sisters Thai Univeristy Dr location was completely flavorless. Green curry had no taste and eggplant was so undercooked it was still hard! Pad see ew was floverless also. Last time the pottery shrimp dish was also bland & disappointing. All of those dishes used to be great! Not sure what's going on these days?
Going to Sisters is always such an amazing treat! The food is always fantastic and the atmosphere is incredible. I highly recommend the duck curry. 100% a must visit restaurant in Old Town Fairfax!
Best Thai in the DMV with such a cozy atmosphere. Can't reccomend the crispy duck curry enough - or the pottery shrimp. The Old Town location > the mosaic location, its a much better and relaxing experience but both are lovely if you're in the area.
