Excellent FOOD in a sea food market atmosphere

They have good selection of seafood. The chef Juan needs to change gloves before and after handling raw seafood and salads. He was using the same gloves touching raw fish, order receipts, to go boxes and even raw salads with the same gloves on. Cross contamination can cause serious illness to consumers.

This is not a separate restaurant but part of Whole Foods, but well done in a fabulous Whole Foods that is much larger than other Whole Foods I have shopped at. The venue is a large over bar counter with good seafood and good service. I had the entree salad with salmon which was very good, My only complaint is that the wine came from a tap. For the quality they have they should be pouring from individual bottles that Whole Foods carries. To add to that the red wine was cold!! I Will be back next time in the area Definitely Romanophile approved!!

Linda and I have been eating at the Whole Foods Sea Food Bar for many years. She always has the Bouillabaisse, and I have the fish and ships. She took me there for my Valentines gift today. They were really busy so our orders did not come out at the same time. My fish and chips came first so we both snaked on it. Then the Bar Keep came over and apologized for the service and gave Linda a free salad. Here dish came about 5 minutes later. Both dishes were as good as ever and this was the first time the service had been screwed up. When Linda was just about finished the Bar keep came back over and told us that here lunch was on the house and they gave us a credit gift card for $16.00. Wow, did not even have to ask for it. Then we went shopping and picked up some fresh bakery items and other incidentals. When we checked out we ended up getting $2.00 in change from the gift card. Do not know of many places that I can go, and get a free lunch, free groceries and then get $2.00 back. What a great deal. We will be going back again as we always do. Recommend them highly.

Overall this is a good store. Has 4 spots to have lunch or dinner at and wine & beer spot. Different concept- I wished this kind of idea was at the Arlington or Falls Church stores. Fish guys spraying down the fish stations with a hose that touched the ground- a hard pass. There is a better selection here.

Had lunch here with a friend and the options were many. I think anyone would be hard pressed to not find something they really like at this location.

Amazon took over the chain and changed some things but this place gets into the bloodstream and it’s still my go to place for a good meal. The seafood bar, the deli, the pizza and the grill bar up from are just darn good places to get good eats. The neighborhood and location can’t be beat. Wholefoods East Market is a great place to eat and meet good people.

The salmon is delicious! It comes with salad and rice potatoes, or fries. Waiters are great, too. I’ve also had fried calamari, the fish sandwich, and the shrimp po-boy. The shrimp is not a po-boy, but on a lobster roll.

Enjoyed a recent dinner here and chose to sit at the seafood counter, which was doing a brisk business. The raw and fried oysters were sublime, as was the fresh fish. Hand cut fries were perfection. Although we didn't have one, we watched several crab cake orders go by...lots of crab and just enough filler--a great sign. The seafood baskets and po-boys looked great too. Fun to sit at the bar and watch the busy prep area while sipping a beverage. Our server took great care of us. A terrific value for the quality and freshness of the food. Will frequently return!
