My husband and I visited Matchbox in the Mosaic District for brunch and definitely enjoyed it. I did the brunch bundle with the bottomless mimosas and he did the BBQ salmon salad. My meal was ok, the mimosas were better. I had the steak and eggs with egg whites. Once the steak was finally cooked the way I requested it was edible. I've had better but nothing to keep me from coming back. I'll gladly try a different dish. The Fire & Smoke pizza was delicious ? The mimosas weren't watered down and I thoroughly appreciated that. My hubby's Bloody Mary was tasty as well. The service was fantastic. We sat outside and it was lovely, especially since we didn't have to keep swatting away bugs which I thought would happen. We are looking forward to a return visit.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed dinner. He got the meat pizza with strawberry lemonade. The pizza had a delicious, crispy, thin crust. I got the sliders with crispy onions... yum!!! I also got some sort of mango chile pepper mocktail, whose name escapes me, but it was really tasty. A very nice outdoor ambiance overlooking the green courtyard.
Yummy food and great food kids
Beautiful interior/exterior!Getting seated took maybe 30 minutes because it was a busy time so sat in the middle of lots a people. Was very lively to say the least, hahaha. However, I did not mind because the interior (and exterior) were super gorgeous and seems like it came straight from a Disney movie! \Food was good, nothing too special. Wings were at the right spice and pretty crispy. Tuna poke bowl was very light and simple to the taste buds. Vegetables were crunchy and tasted fresh!Prices are a little expensive but I won't subtract any star because of that. Because, well......... it didn't come out my pocket!Altogether, nice place for a weekend outing. Has the right vibes and simple food.
They changed the fig and prosciutto pizza! Now it’s basically a blue cheese and bacon pizza… it’s ok, but definitely false advertising! Bring the old recipe back with the pieces of actual prosciutto and fig. This one, you can’t even taste the fig at all and the fried prosciutto is actually bacon. Service was great, however, Jaime was very patient and understanding, so stars go to him.
Quick meal due to my misreading of an event schedule. Daughter loved the pizza. Waitstaff excellent: they had dropped a slice while preparing it on a plate so they provided me with another pizza. Staff quickly boxed my meal just so we can make it to an event next time.
It’s was my first time eating here and it was a tasty lunch. My friend likes this place so my other friend and I went here for brunch/lunch. Friendly staff and a clean bathroom minus the paper towel on the bathroom floor. The food - I believe everyone enjoyed their meals with no issues. I got an apple salad with shrimp and I loved the decent sized shrimp that came with my meal. My friend is apart of the matchbox rewards program which allowed her to build up her points with today’s lunch/brunch. I guess if you frequent this restaurant enough, why not sign up and get rewarded for the meals/drinks purchased. Overall, I would recommend this place to eat a meal.
Wait staff is awesome attentive and polite. The atmosphere is good and the music is always good. The food has a serenade with your taste buds. I had the ginormous meatball(beef, veal, pork, pepperoni sauce)w/a beautiful piece of bread. It was the perfect ?? selection for lunch. This meal , that matchbox has listed as a starter; was so fulfilling and delectable. I ordered(to go) the mambo chicken pizza. I’ll be back for more on the menu. Until next time matchbox!!
I'm not used to having poor quality service at this location. Let alone any store from this chain. My visit this occasion was for a birthday. Our waitress seemed confused and often struggled to remember items. We decided to give her multiple chances being that it's a pandemic and food services are strained. Nonetheless, simple things like drinks and questions about basic things on the menu just caused such a challenge. My guest all ordered selections between pizza or seafood entrees. My suggestion to those of you reading my review. Wait until the summer, those are my fondest and best experiences with this chain location.
We came here for a birthday brunch and had a fantastic time. For the bottomless mimosas you receive carafes of orange juice and bottles of champagne. The price was reasonable given how many we had. I tried the brunch bundle with the shrimp for the appetizer and the French toast for the entree. The shrimp was delicious! It was perfectly battered and the sauce was very flavorful. The French toast was good too, but nothing out of the ordinary. The service was amazing as well. There were about 15 of us at the table and our waiter was very attentive and patient with us. I’d definitely come back and try out their other dishes!
