It was so good, I was really impressed with the beef and broccoli entree. It's been a while I've had a Chinese dish that I've thoroughly enjoyed. The pictures doesn't do it justice but the beef was perfectly cut, great size and not rubbery, the broccoli was crunchy and they were not stingy with the portions. I will definitely be coming back here again.
I'm mad at myself that I didn't take any pictures of the dishes as they came to the table. This is exactly the Chinese takeout I've been looking for since I moved to Fairfax! The General Tso's Chicken was crispy with an excellent sauce coating it, the Crispy Chicken was just as good. The soup dumplings while delicious, were a bit of a disappointment ONLY because I didn't think they were soupy enough (but to Mama's Taste's credit, they are jumbo, so soupy and jumbo do not make a great combination in dumpling land)!
Wowwwww! This place was AMAZING. Don't let the small simple dining space full you. This place packs BIG flavor. We ordered the General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, crispy beef, steamed shrimp dumplings (HAND MADE) & pan fried pork dumplings, and crab wontons and I can't underscore just how good EVERYTHING was. You MUST try this place
My, oh my. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place. It was lunch time so I ordered from the lunch menu. Got the Hunan beef and WOW! It was so perfect. Meat was fresh and cooked right along with some of the freshest tasting broccoli I've ever had in a dish. I wish all Chinese restaurants tasted like this. If you live in or are around the Fairfax area and are wanting some Chinese please check this place out! Can't wait to go back when I am back in the area and try something else on the menu. Kudos to Mama's Taste!
I ordered because of the reviews! And they were right, best Chinese in fairfax. There aren’t any good Chinese restaurants around and I’m glad I tried this place!
Lives up to all the reviews’ hype- so delicious and fresh. My new go-to American Chinese restaurant. Effusively recommend for days you crave Chinese takeout.
Outstanding dumplings and noodles! Everything we ordered was great. Crispy beef is a bit sweet but soooo good. Nothing we ordered was overly salty. So excited this place is here and GOOD! Fairfax City has a lot of good options for other South Asian cuisines, but I've been underwhelmed by the available Chinese options (other than Mama Chang, which is excellent but in a different pricing tier). Mama's Taste is a welcome addition and we'll be going back.
This place is so good. I got the pork dumplings and the house flat noodles. Neither disappointed. The dumpling were exceptional and authentic. They let me know over the phone they are made to order so they are very fresh. The flat noodles were also very flavorful. Unfortunately I don't have any photos because I ate it all so quickly! I will definitely be back. This is my new go-to Chinese food spot.
The fried pork dumplings were very tasty. My family devoured them. The biang biang noodles were delicious as well, but a word of warning--they're authentic-level spicy and not for the faint of heart. I can't wait to try more menu items.
