This is insane!!!!But, you'd better not to expect the customer service. The server will not tell or answer to you:(
Recently visited for lunch. I've been here a handful of times in the last few years and I remember this place for their exceptional Jjampong. The food was good but it wasn't what I was used to. Also, the kitchen and the waitstaff were both severely understaffed. The place was maybe a third full and the single waitress and the kitchen really struggled. We got our last dish about an hour after we placed our order. From what I could see, the other tables didn't fare any better.I haven't been here enough recently to comment on whether this is the norm but the waitress was courteous and the food was satisfactory. I will try this place again when I'm in the area.
This used to be our favorite Korean-Chinese restaurant. We’ve been going for years, even before our 11 year old was born. We visited recently and things have really changed. The main thing that we loved about this place was their noodles. We would regularly order their jjambong and jajjangmyun because we loved their noodles. Unfortunately, they seem to have moved one to mass produced spaghetti like noodles that are just awful. In addition, the service was disappointing. I’m not sure if the person who seated us was a hostess, a waitress, or a busser. Either way, they were completely un-helpful and were more interested in their cell phone then paying any attention to us. Maybe cheaper noodles and cheaper wait staff are a cost saving measure, but if so please charge us more and go back to the way you used to be.
This place is absolute trash. If you get the wrong order, they will tell you to your face “just eat it”.You’d really be mad if it wasn’t so funny.Don’t have the time to list all the things wrong here but I think the rest of the negative reviews pretty much cover it.
We came in with no expectations and was very pleasantly surprised by both the service and the food. The service was prompt and very welcoming. The food was very good. The Jjajangmyeon was your standard decent black bean noodle, in short the perfect comfort food. The Tangsuyook was crispy, sweet, sour perfection, my partner and I finished a entire plate. The Milneangmyeon was amazing, the ideal combination for spicy and cool. The spring rolls were extra crispy, wait at least two-three minutes before consuming or risk getting your mouth burned, bit the crispy outer shell with the gooey filling is well worth the pain!
This place was fantastic! Their Mill Nang Myeon was so refreshing and delicious. Everything came out so fast too. Will be coming back.
I wish I could unsee what I saw. I was there to pickup my order and just happened to see the workers in the kitchen handling food. A Latino Male and female were not wearing masks and talking as they were chopping up vegetables. Neither wearing gloves. The male employee wiped his nose with his hand, made eye contact with me then proceeded to handle the vegetables. There is something called Norovirus it can survive even in high temperatures. Please make sure your staff are trained properly in food safety and handling. WASH HANDS.We order from here frequently, but the quality of the food has changed within the last 2 months.
I noticed this restaurant made a great improvement. Chicken Tangsooyuk is particularly crispy and tasty. Pork Ganjjajang is choowy and properly dry, not watery. You wouldn't know what I am writing about.
Ordered steamed dumplings (mandoo) - first bite, gagged - knee jerk reaction spat it out into a napkin - meat was rotten. Jjajang-myun came out - took one bite, and again had to spit it out. Could not eat it. Inedible. Paid and left, vowing to not come back. I can usually eat just about anything and everything. This was a first. I don't know about the other reviews, but for jjajang-myun, Kang Chon is much better. For steamed mandoo dumplings, it's difficult to find good ones these days.
The food is ok but the man in the front who takes orders is really RUDE! He has no customer service skills. If you ask something he will ignore you or walk away. He will look at you like... if you don't like it... get out! I've seen him treat others that way when I was there. I was so disappointed and infuriated when I left the restaurant. Be aware if you go there!
