Where do I start… this place is the definition of a hidden gem. Literally on the backside of all these shops. I’ve been to the shopping center 50 times and didn’t even see this… found it via Google. Parking can be unique due to the lack of dedicated spots.What I really love is the vibe. LOTS of seats and great atmosphere. A nice subtle jazz music. Great coffee and staff was friendly. They even have like a stadium seating.Looking forward to trying the food next time. The pastries look very good. It’s worth it to check it out.
Loved the environment, their coffee and some food options they have. The second i entered the place amazing smell got my heart. Also great place to work/study. I tried their latte and cranberry scone it is delicious. I am picky about sweet stuff since many place have too sweet, but here texture and sweetness level is super balanced. Definitely i will be visiting soon.
As the quarter was coming to a close and seeing that I was failing 3 classes and barely passing 2 other classes, I needed a place that was lowkey, chill, and somewhat quiet to do all my missing assignments to bring my grades up. Foundation Coffee is the perfect place to go to grab a coffee ft. beautiful designs using froth/milk, or tea, along with some amazing snacks so far, to do your work. There are tables, stools, and sitting stairs for you and your buds to go and get some work done. Because of it's location behind the Fair City Mall, not many people know this coffee shop unless they're looking for exactly what I looked for. The free wifi was also pretty darn fast as well. Now, I go there nearly every weekday considering it's a 17 minute drive- which is 100% worth it (personally).
What a perfect spot! The cafe is cute and clean, service is quite fast, and there is plenty of seating. The coffee is delicious but the real star to me is the strawberry cake. I can not emphasize enough how amazing the strawberry cake is. It is fresh, moist, and perfectly sweet. It puts me in mind of walking through a strawberry field on a beautiful Summer day, and is nothing like that terrible overly sweet artificial flavoring. I will certainly come back, even if it's just for a slice of cake.
Best almond and cheese danish I ever taste, the coffee was so yummy I buy the drip Ethiopian and it’s also suits for students as they have a good atmosphere ??
Fantastic coffee! We got an iced and hot latte and both were great! We got a cream puff and it was delicious ?? The vibe inside was perfect. It was quite with light music playing, perfect for studying. I definitely recommend this place!
Might just be the best coffee in Fairfax. Everything about this place is quality. The coffee is well roasted and tastes delicious, not burnt or stale. Their pastries are equally as good. I'm not sure if they are baked in house but they look like they are. Even the ambiance of the coffee shop is great. It has a very minimalist, industrial look while still feeling inviting and warm. I believe it used to be a warehouse space which lends to that aesthetic. This place is super clean and still remains somewhat of a secret due to its location on the back of the shopping center. If you are popping in to grab freshly roasted beans or staying for awhile to knock out some work this place will not disappoint.
Such a wonderful hidden gem! I came here and spent a few hours on my computer and loved the space, the coffee, and the food. The inside is gorgeous and allows for adequate social distancing.Glad I looked at the photos first because I would not have guessed that it’s on the back side of the shopping center.
I wish all coffee shops were like this. Most importantly, the espresso drinks are perfect. More than adequate pastry choices (and tasty!) and even savory items. Giant space with lots of seating options. Nice people. Decor pleasing to the eye, quiet jazz. Perfection
Such a lovely place. Glad I randomly found this coffee shop on Google. Staff was friendly and my pumpkin spiced latte tasted wonderful. I also bought a bag of coffee beans which I’m excited to try.
