This has been my go to Vietnamese restaurant for over 5 years. I started going in college for the lunch special, and now I drive 17 miles there several times a month. The pho is the best around. The fried rice and all desserts are great. The staff is wonderful too! We love Eastwind. Can’t recommend it enough
Very terrible. Pho was a little off and I kept smelling a rotten smell. We were seated towards the front. I felt a little grossed out while eating like something was off. Then there was a slimy felling in my mouth and there was this purple slimy thing that I put in the napkin. I immediately stopped eating and told my wife I was going to use the bathroom and then we were leaving. Walking toward the back I started to smell the rotten smell get stronger. I could see into the kitchen and it did not look like a clean kitchen. The bathroom was falling apart and grimy and when I came back out the smell just hits you in the face. Like rotten rags and meat and mildew. I told my wife to go to the bathroom and look at the kitchen and she was mad at me for taking us there. Never again.
Came in with high standards having grown up eating Vietnamese food in NYC. Was not disappointed at all. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service I received was kind and attentive.
A cozy and clean Vietnamese restaurant. The service was nice and quick and the food was good. The pho was little above average and still the price was reasonable.
My husband and I decided to try East Wind based on the recommendation of a friend who knows Vietnamese food very well. It was a bitter cold night, but there was easy curbside parking in front and plenty of tables available. First of all, the service is excellent. They made us feel like family. Then, without even asking him, the manager brought over a portable heater because it was chilly even inside. We ordered the Vietnamese crepe and clay pot combination with shrimp, scallops, squid, beef and chicken. Everything was delicious. I'm not normally a rice eater, but I couldn't get enough of the rice in the clay pot which had soaked up the delicious flavors. Even though we live in Maryland, it was well worth the drive, and we'll definitely be back!
I’ve been to Eastwind countless times since moving to Fairfax and it literally never disappoints. The pho is top notch, the fried rice is awesome, the service is perfect, and the prices are amazing for NoVA. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Parking was rough to find. But this was near the Hmart that I went to in Fairfax. This place was just amazing. There was ONE worker doing take out orders and serving 7 tables. He was just an absolute work horse. He even came to our table at one point and apologized because of the volume of guests coming in. You can’t beat their lunch combo and special. 13 dollars for a soda, an order (2) spring rolls or (2) fresh rolls and then an entree. I got the old town special beef pho. The broth was smooth and tasteful. Perfect amount of noodles and beef. The fresh rolls and spring rolls (not pictured) were crunchy and fresh. The service was wonderful. I left the restaurant happy, content and perfectly full. This place won’t disappoint you.
Walked in for a quick evening meal on a cold windy night. Was greeted immediately and warmly. They were out of egg noodles but asked if I wanted to sub in rice noodles and it ended up being delicious! I got #30 their Eastwind noodles dish with beef, my daughter got the vermicelli bowl with pork. Both were very good! We will be back.
Yes I came here with a couple of friends and it was absolutely amazing the lemongrass chicken was out of this world. The customer service was excellent the place was nice and clean. Thank you for the great experience
This place has healthy food, vegetarian meals, and a quiet atmosphere. It's good for a typical date night. I've eaten here 4 times and even through covid it was good. They are really nice and I like that they give you chopsticks and silverware so you can play with your chopstick skills, then use the fork halfway through like every other American. Jokes. Pls. K. Anyway, I recommend this over 90 percent of Fairfax restaurants. I would eat here twice a month if it was located in the shopping center by my house near Pickett shopping center and main street. I'm saying the location is the only thing keeping them at a light amount of business sometimes. Parking is right outside after 630pm. Park around the corner or cross the street in a lot to experience a very short walk. It's well worth it.
