We recently attended dinner here after a function. Parking was easy and plentiful. We ate indoors close to 5:30 on a Friday night. It was not overly crowded and we received good service from the staff. The bread sticks were delicious and we were able to keep them coming through the meal. The salad was so-so but the main meals were served hot and were absolutely delicious. I had the lasagna which was a nice sized portion. All and all I would say this was a very nice place and would go again.

Good but gross.I've eaten here maybe a dozen times over the past few years. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The service has always been fine. They give a generous glass of wine. But I saw something tonight that turned my stomach and will think twice before returning. We had a table near the kitchen with a clear view inside. I watched a waiter make 6-10 salads WITH HIS BARE HANDS. He reached into the greens with his hands and put a handful on each plate. Same with the tomatoes and other ingredients. No way he was washing his hands in between each visit to the salad station. This took place during the pandemic. GROSS!!!!!!!

Love this place! Excellent service and food. Each dish is very flavorful (but not salty). During the pandemic, I used to order food from here often, and even the delivery food was good. This place never disappoints me. A hidden gem for sure!

We went for lunch while visiting family and loved it. Classic Italian dishes like baked ziti, manicotti and gnocchi. All of which were delicious. The service was very good too.

Love love the cozy atmosphere, great wine, awesome food, and friendly family service for the last 20 years for us!

Such a great restaurant for good quality Italian dishes in a beautiful place where you can support local business!

Excellent service and food. In and out quickly on a Monday evening. We had the Chicken Piccata and the Chicken Rolatini which both were amazing. The Piccata was in a very light lemon white sauce with capers and Rolatini in a light rose vodka sauce. Both on top of perfectly adente homemade pasta. The meal was capped off with their homemade tiramisu which was drenched heavily in liqueur. Both entrees came with the tangy dressed house salad and freshly baked bread and served with black label real butter. The only complaint was being seated back to back (within 6 feet) with another booth in a mostly empty restaurant.

Server was extremely attentive. Every time our water would go down just a little bit - refill! The food was really good. The only thing for me was the carbonara was a little toooo decadent for me. Flavor was delicious though. Portion sizes are generous and I’d love to come back to try other dishes.

Very good place for dinner. Good and fast service. Amazing food. Definitely one of the best Italian food I’ve had in a while.

Absolutely fantastic! I have been dining at Cantina for years now and it is still the number 1 restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine for me! The pasta is fresh, the service is professional and prices are reasonable, much better than the flashy/expensive spots. Without a doubt Cantina Italia is my top 3 favorite restaurants in all of Northern Virginia. I won't even go to Francois anymore.
