The app automatically charged a nine dollar tip to my card without having me select it. I’m going in to pick up food, receiving no service and the tip is added to it and automatically. Inappropriate. I figured OK well I guess the kids there are probably working hard. When I get there three people are standing at the front point me towards the bar to go get my takeout. When I get to the bar the girl there tells me my food must not be done yet. I say yes I believe it would be done by now, as I was 20 minutes later than the ETA when it was supposed to be finished. She then points me over to another area where bags are sitting waiting for customers and asked me had I paid yet. I was like yes I paid, overpaid actually! I then walk across the restaurant to the second location where my bag is supposedly waiting. I see my name on the front of the bag, open it to look inside to make sure that my order is correct because I cannot handle one more disappointment this evening. The girl who works there then comes over to me, makes the effort to say “are you sure that’s yours.” The most effort that was put into the customer service towards me at that restaurant was double checking had I paid and double checking that I was not touching somebody else’s bag. Terrible service. The food was under portioned and overpriced. My sad salad was floating in melted goat cheese. Very unpleasant experience to pay $70 for two meals, receive terrible customer service, have a tip included that I did not select, not a good experience.
I have never written a one star review for a restaurant before.Strange that my previous one star review disappeared. I would like to take this opportunity to say please do not visit this establishment. The experience was awful and it was absolutely the fault of management. I would provide more details but apparently doing so got my review deleted :) don’t worry, I’ll just keep writing them. I can verify my identity if I have to.
Disappointed service by TJ. She didn't give us any time to review the menu, took our drink order and entee. 15 minutes later delivered our drinks and then disappeared. A half hour later, which is not so bad, but what was bad is she brought our bread & oil i.e. the appetizer, Salads and entrees all at the same time. Then, TJ disappeared again. From receiving our original drink order TJ never came by to refill our tea. We finished our meal, waited for our server, wanting our bill. Not seeing TJ again, we asked for the Manager, requested our check and a box for our Salads. We are CPK Club members and discussed the disappointment in our service with TJ. He was understanding and apologized. He refunded our Salads and mentioned he is trying to train a new staff. We Greatly appreciated his efforts and the explanation. We told him we were regulars and always enjoyed our experience. We recognized this service was an exception to the norm. We typically order the dumplings as an appetizer and plan on a nice dessert, but never got that chance with TJ our server. Koodos to the Manager for stepping up and doing his best to correct the situation. We plan on returning soon in hopes of better service, still loyal to CPK while the food is still very good and consistent. I guess mistakes can happen.

Great service and delicious tortilla soup, my goodness, avocado focaccia appetizer was great with the greens and a spice of Chili got me but so tasty with the avocado, and it was great paired with the soup! And filled me up!The ice cream cake dish was warm and filling and split between 3 people!So great!
Great pizza! Was still hungry after a $17 pizza though. No complimentary bread and oil even though other tables near us got it.
Incredible experience. Uber eats completely screwed us but they made it right and took care of us. Bailed us out on my son's birthday. Thank you! Food was awesome but the service is why this night was perfect.
I always enjoy California Pizza Kitchen but I wish they would bring back their original foaccacia con cecca.

Tried a couple of things at the Fairfax location.Soup , dumplings and BBQ cauliflower were all really good.Pizza ? was not the greatest may be should have ordered some other pizza.Dessert was good. All portions were appropriate , staff was really friendly.Ample amount of sitting with outdoor seating as well.
