The best sushi I have ever had in Dc metropolitan area. I will be back.
Has unique specialty sushi rolls and appetizers that’s are yummy.
This place is super good. This is the third time I’ve been here, and I will continue to go here. The service is good, and the food is even better. I went with my mother, and we started with the Arigato balls, and Shumai. The arigato balls were super good, but interesting. They were literally just fried balls with cream cheese in them. Yeah. The shumai was much better though. They were very hot, but after they cooled down they were wolfed down quickly. Very succulent and flavorful. For the entree, we ordered the 77 piece maki platter. Now, you might be wondering how two people at 77 pieces of sushi; it’s because of me. I didn’t have breakfast, and I was starving. All of the sushi on it was incredibly. My favorite is probably the fried soft shelled crab, or at least that’s what I think it is. I didn’t really like the spicy tuna, not because it was spicy (it wasn’t that spicy), but I just didn’t really like the flavor. Besides that though, I ate everything. Awesome meal, and awesome place to visit.
This is such a wonderfully comfortable and friendly place to dine. The Bento at lunch was a meal to remember. The owner of 29 years came over to chat and made us feel we were special guests eating in her immaculate dining room. The lunch we had was high quality and delicious.Don’t miss this place if you are looking for an outstanding meal and experience,
One of the best sushi/sashimi I’ve had. We ordered chirashi ans sushi/sashimi combo. Fresh ingredients and big thick cuts of fish. Very happy. Will def go back to try all of their menu items.
Impressive! I haven’t frequented this sushi spot in years; I used to come when I was kid. Now that I’m back in NoVa, I popped in. It’s still impeccably clean and speedy service. I came around 8pm on a Tuesday. Incredibly fresh fish and their miso soup is still on point. I ordered the Sushi & Sashimi dinner with an order of futomaki and toro nigiri. I was in sushi heaven! I am glad to see Arigato survived all these years, through a pandemic and inflation.
I ordered sushi omakase at a sushi bar. Appetizer was pretty good. When it comes to sushi i am very picky. Sushi was very average. Rice was average but fish felt very soaked in water. The way that salmon was cut for sushi looks terrible..overall value wise i think it was worth it. I guess you get what you pay for. I felt like there was no engagement at all with the chef at the sushi bar.
Great sushi ruined by rude servers. Not once, not twice, a hundred times/EVERYTIME. We have eaten here many times and the great food is always tainted by the terrible wait staff. It's like the servers are specifically trained to be disrespectful and short with customers. And why are they so stingy with the wasabi? If I want to be treated like dirt at a restaurant, I'll go to Burger King. I've found another excellent sushi restaurant in Fairfax Towne center that I will gladlyy give my business from now on.
Dinner waa super! Great food and great service! Their kids meal portion was huge. Loved everything!
Love this place - if you like sushi, fish is fresh and delish. If you don't do raw, the rest of the menu is just as good.
