My husband and I decided to try the Golden Leaf Bistro out on a date night as we are new to the area. The food was amazing, the server was wonderful, food is a little pricey but well worth the price, the chef is amazing. The only thing I would say is I didn't care for the table we were sat at like we were being punished LOL. It was in another room all together but in all fairness we did not have a reservation. My husband and I now have a new date night restaurant that we will always go to, we will make reservations. We both highly recommend this place.
Hired this place for my wedding to be catered and they did a horrendous job. My husband and I should have known to not go with them by the amount of emails and phone calls they never responded to. Each time we were fortunate to get in contact with them they said "Everything is good to go." Boy, was that farthest from the truth. Clearly nothing discussed was ever noted, written down nor organized. Servers did not show up for hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour. After being an hour late, they finally showed up with some but food ran out immediately. They definitely did not prepare even close to the amount that they were supposed to for our large party. Many guests were left starved. THEN dinner was EVEN WORSE! Out of 100 guests, I would be surprised if 50 of them received a full meal. Some of my guests towards the end of the line were eating salad and mashed potatoes as those were the only options left. ONCE AGAIN, UNPREPARED! Our beef did not come with the burgundy sauce that was promised and the fish did not have the lemon aioli as also promised. Servers did not buss any tables.. instead they were too busy eating the food against the wall even as we did not have enough for our guests. It was truly atrocious. You will be mistaken to hire this company for any event. This was a mortifying experience for us and this business did nothing to help the situation. Never even called us to apologize and see how they could make it up to us.. genuinely horrible business.
I’ve heard good things about Golden Leaf Bistro. But, it’s the little things that count. I made a 5:30pm reservation for my grandmother’s birthday. We were one of the first reservations of the night. We were promptly greeted at the door and then kindly seated in the booth across from the bathrooms. No complaints regarding the food but the attentiveness of the waitress lagged as dinner came to a close. But, most unfortunately, when you make a reservation requesting a special treat for your grandmother, inform the waitress that it’s her birthday, but only get handed a check at the end of the meal, you leave disappointed. No matter the deliciousness of the cuisine the level of service will always effect taste.
Though their website indicated they were open, we found they were closed 2x over the holiday weekend.
We have been coming to Golden Leaf for 8 years and the food and service have always been amazing. We were there Wednesday night and had a horrible experience. We were sitting in the bar and witnessed the owner raising his voice and being very ugly to the bar tender. He wanted to sit at a certain table and it was reserved for guests. She very politely advised him the table was reserved and offered to find him another table. He talked to her like an absolute dog in front of all the customers. He was raising his voice and kicking the table chairs. I have never witnessed an owner speak to an employee like this, especially an employee who was working so hard to take care of all her customers. Numerous customers asked for their check and left. We will never go back. We will never support a restaurant with an owner who treats his employees with such disrespect. I would give him negative stars if I could.

Delicious food. The menu was a little deceptive. I got Caesar salad and salmon. The price for salad was around $9. Add salmon $13. Normally the price in other restaurants would be $13. Adding salmon was an additional $13. Service was good.
This is a wonderful place to visit. Nice atmosphere, excellent food, good drink selection....varied and tasteful indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor and outdoor bar options, as well. Highly recommend.
We made reservations here to kick off our wedding week. The owner is so kind and went out of her way to accommodate the needs we had. Our server, Tonni, was fantastic! I definitely recommend this place for your special events. Just make sure you arrange it with Ali and everything will be amazing! Food was delicious, service was fantastic, it was the perfect kickoff for our celebrations in Danville!
Great food and service. On our way home to NYS and saw this restaurant online. First time here but won’t be our last. Great food and service!
