The only reason I had tried them is due to their online review. But very disappointed. I would say though, there was lots of fish in the sandwich. But they were very thin, soggy, chewy and had bit of a fishy taste. I am not sure if it was just me or that’s how their fish is. I had selected their all the way option and did not find it any spicy nor can justify around $2.5 for it.

Skrimp Shack Colonial Heights used to be our favorite fish place. The staff remains fantastic and we could live with the price increases, but the food tonight was awful. We ordered haddock and paid haddock prices but ended up with whitefish... it was overcooked to the point of almost burned. Same with the fries, overcooked to the point of almost burned and we didn't get many. It's one thing to raise prices, but to skimp on the quality and make the portion sizes smaller than they used to be is disappointing. We won't be back, When 2 haddock sammiches with 2 fries and 2 drinks for a cost of $45.00 I can't afford to be disappointed again.

Skrimp Shack needs to update the online menu, so that it at least reflects the prices of 2022. We called to place an order only to be told they no longer offered those items. On a previous attempt, prior to the pandemic, we tried using the online menu and were told it was an old menu and the prices were not correct.I ordered grilled whiting with greens. The whiting was overcooked to the point of being dry and the greens were overcooked as well with a bland taste. My hubby ordered fried whiting, cole slaw, and 8 shrimp. He was disappointed with all of the breading he had to pull off the fish and said his fish was overcooked as well.To close out our sad adventure, we're both handicapped however, there's no actual handicapped entrance/exit for the Skrimp Shack as we discovered when both drinks tumbled off of his rollator (walker) because he had to lift the wheels over the curb onto the street. The drinks were on top of the food trays in the basket that is attached to his rollator. The food we received was not what we expected and definitely not worth the cost. We were very disappointed with our purchase and it ended up in the trash..

We stopped in with our son to give the place a try and were very pleased with what we ordered. We had a fried shrimp basket, a grilled shrimp basket and a fried whiting sandwich, all with fries. Service was fast, you order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Friendly staff and the food was good. The only problem we had was they were out of ketchup...how could that happen? We'll visit again the next time we are in the Colonial Heights area.

May I say that the fish sandwich was not that good today. Lately, the fish has had a bad taste. Fishy taste that makes you throw the entire sandwich away. Which I did… No wonder “no refund” signs are posted now. Something has changed… nothing like it use to be.

Food is good, although for 18 dollars I feel kinda shorted haha

Every time I come to this location, something is always overcooked/burnt

Best Shrimp Po Boy ever!!

Absolutely AMAZING!!! The shrimp were the size of half dollars and were perfectly breaded and tender! The whiting was good as well. If you're in the mood for seafood, come here and try them out!!! I'm in love and will have to come visit here often when I'm in the area!!

You know a restraint is in trouble when: 1) you are closing locations (Hopewell closed last month) 2) you place signs everywhere saying check you order for accuracy and satisfaction NO REFUNDS given for any reason. 3) my favorite…You can call in your order, But their policy is they will not drop (cook) your order until you have came in and paid for it first. That one order could bankrupt them. These people should not be in business if it is this bad.
