Both Colonial Heights restaurants stink. They mess up my order even when I ask for two things. Most of the crew stands around either talking or looking clueless. We spend about 35 on average and it stinks when you can't get accuracy for what you pay at these places. Didn't have the Shamrock shake the entire month of March which is supposed to be available at all locations. Milkshake machine is always" broke"
Awful experience line was so long we waited over 45 minutes to a hour each car sat for atleast 35 minutes at the drive thru window people were beeping and leaving atleast 10 cars left while we were the there, 2 people working one cashier one cooking. One standing in the back at cash drawer counting money over and over. The poor girl at the last window was taking orders and running curbside out. After the wait the food was nasty and cold fries weren't even done. Never again will I go to this McDonald's.
Colonial Heights, VA McDonald's is the nastiest. Floor was sticky and spills by the drink stations. Not sure of mask policy. Some wearing, some not, some only wearing around their chin. Lots of laughing and joking but very little work. Had to go back in for fresh fries, the fries I got were old and soggy and burnt. Trash on the counters even by the registers. Not much hustle.
We were just told they aren’t taking anymore customers as we sat in line at the drive thru for 10 minutes so we decide to go inside as they say we are not taking anymore customers YET they took 3 other people after us as we passed the door. What a joke. Trashy and very unprofessional. Must be because we are white. Everyone in there were black including the 3 people that literally just walked in after us. They had no problem taking them though? Trash.
I typically try to leave positive reviews, since most people tend to post about negative experiences. However, after our experience today I have to leave this. I spent part of the day out with one of my daughters, and she requested McDonalds. We sat in the drive thru for about 10 minutes and nothing was moving, so we parked and walked inside. We were the only customers and walked up to the counter to order. We stood there for about 5 minutes and no one spoke to us or came to take our order. The worst part? There was a young man and a woman who glanced our way, standing close by, and did NOTHING. They were having personal conversations and joking. My daughter even asked why no one was helping us. We walked out and went elsewhere. There is absolutely NO reason for this kind of poor service.
Showed up to the drive through at 1128 pm and the lady says they are closed. I said then why does it say you close at 12 and you took the person infront of me’s order? She claims McDonald’s closes at 12 but they stop serving at 11:30...... which is obviously a blatant lie we all know when a store closes at 12 that means they stop serving food at 12. I then went to another McDonald’s that says closes at 12 got there at 11:50 and they happily took my order. Just complete and utter laziness, I would bet everything the owner doesn’t tell them to stop serving at 11:30 when the website clearly says 12 do better or hire new staff that actually give a care.
McDonald's needs to send all of their employees through customer service training post covid-19 none if them know who to treat customer. The customer infront of me was told he wasn't taking anyone's order that he was in the drive thru so that customer walked ou the door. Another employee told me when I walked up to place my order that it was quicker to oder through the kiosk versus talking to an actual employee, the machine doesn't allow you to login and use your rewards from your app so I had to place the order through the app after attempting to login. And as always McDonald's ice cream machines are broken how convenient. Please retrain your employees in customer service....
Sat at this place over an hour and a half. Horrible food. No offer to compensate. Then they tried to close down before we got our food. The staff was trying as hard as they could. Sad.
Horrible service. Fries were over cooked, under salted and cold. No sauces for my nuggets after requesting it twice. All after making me wait close to 15 minutes for my food. Go anywhere else.**EDIT**My sandwich was also the wrong one and hard as a brick so I went back. Updated to two stars because they were nice about fixing my issues.
I don’t usually give reviews on places, but this McDonalds deserves one. I totally understand the being a fast food worker is stressful, but do not rudely tell me that the lobby is closed. If it’s closed, literally just write a sign informing customers that it’s closed. Argument also broke out between worker and customer; customer was obviously being rude though. I did like how they still served me even though I wasn’t allowed.
