I used to go to this location but it had been a while. Placed a pickup order walked in 2 servers were just talking to each other and another was sitting texting on her phone. Told them I was picking up my order they said the guy in the back was coming and continued to talk. After about 5 mins i guess me standing there was making them uncomfortable they turned their backs to continue. After another 5 mins of staring at my food behind the counter i interrupted them and said can I just grab my order I'm pretty sure that's mine and ive already paid the lady rolled her eyes grilled me on my name. Part of my order was missing so had to wait again. Finally left got home and everything was completely wrong! Taco salad had no meat or cheese. I don't even know what the thing that should've been a taco was. Enchiladas not chicken even though that's what i ordered i selected Chicken Enchiladas. Doubt I'll go back.

I called in to place an order to go. I arrived within 10 minutes and my order was ready. The steak and cheese quesadilla was so fresh and delicious!! The chips were yummy too but not warmed like they usually are or I'd of given 5 stars!
The food was great and I only got a lunch portion still plenty of food. The prices are decent. Definitely worth to pay a little more for great food. Friendly environment and staff.

Nice little Mexican place. Staff was very friendly and the food was served very quick. The chips they serve at the begining were hot and tasty. Food was average.

Not grading on a curve here... It was average. The staff were attentive, the food was decent, no complaints. It is just more or less interchangeable with a bunch of other Mexican places we have been to. Don't let this deter you if you are headed this way, but I'm not saying to drive miles and miles out of the way for the privilege either.
The food is hot, delicious, and well priced for what you get. The staff is very friendly and always on top of things. Monday Happy Hour is $1.49 beers! My wife and I tried a few Mexican restaurants around Petersburg Colonial Heights but Don Jose is the place to go.
