We went to Dante’s as a large group of adults and kids after a soccer game for a local tournament.After 20-30 minutes of being seated, we finally got our order taken. The staff was friendly and did the best they could, but the kitchen definitely wasn’t prepared for us even though we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Friday night.It took at least an hour to get our food. For some reason the Philly Cheesesteak came with mayonnaise, so we asked for no mayo. The food didn’t have a ton of flavor and was disappointing. Unfortunately will not be a go-to for us next time we’re in Richmond.
At least from an entree standpoint, not at all. I ordered a chicken cacciatore. I got spaghetti, chicken, green peppers. Is there something missing, what about red sauce...coming from New York if you serve cacciatore without red sauce in an Italian home you would be laughed out the neighborhood. If you don't know how to cook it, just google the recipe.
This place is great! Great food. My group got pizza and I got a cheeseburger (the fries are AMAZING!!!) The Deluxe and Mediterranean pizzas were great - LOADED with toppings!Our waitress Shannon was awesome, too! She got into our silliness with us and that made the experience even more fun.Will definitely go back! SOON!!
Good service and food
We did the Sunday brunch buffet. Excellent selection of pizzas, wraps, paninis, 2 pasta dishes, chicken wings, salad bar, fresh fruits and dessert bar. Great value for the money. Service was just ok, not bad but not excellent either. Place is clean and roomy.
The food and atmosphere was a 4. But the service brought the whole experience up in my opinion.
We were the only table in the restaurant when we ordered. Waited a while for our appetizer, guy brings it over, no plates. They managed to mess up my food not once, but twice. Ordered a tuna sub and onion rings and they kept trying to give me a turkey sub and fries. We ordered pizza from the children's menu and they brought out 2 huge slices of an XL pizza on a hot pan for our 4 year old. Ordering from the children's menu you expect children's portions on an appropriate plate for a child. Counted 6 people working there and for some reason they had 2 people serving us... the only table. Watched the guy making food walk around eating before making my correct order and watched another employee walking around moving large trays of fruit and snacking off them. Waitress tried to make several excuses and said no manager was working. Definitely won't be returning.
Best Minestrone soup ever with the garlic knots. mmmmh! hope its around year round!
Whoever was workingTonight definitely canceled my order.They cancelled the order and told me GRUBHUB cancelled the order because of distance.The man I spoke to told me their driver doesn't go as far as my address.I told him the Grub Hub driver delivers for Grub hub .SmhHe argued with me and got really intense,at one point even yelling.I used to like ordering from this place but I probably will never order from this restaurant again because things have changed a lot over the years apparently.I wanted to rate one star but I didn't want to be mean
Okay so the food doesn't agree with my stomach. It's good but I've ate here twice and both times, it turned my stomach. Maybe less grease. The first time i had pizza and the second time pasta. I didn't realise it was the food that upset my tummy until it happened again the second time.
