I generally do not leave bad reviews, but this time the food was awful...They have been slipping lately, but not this bad. The place has always looked kind of "dirty", but the food has been ok. Tonight the food was not fully cooked and the lo mein was old looking and had a spicy taste like it had been cooked after a spicy dish had been prepared prior in the same pan. I ate some of the pork before I realized that it was not fully cooked. I could not take it back because they had already closed by the time I got home. Stick with Ichiban Hibachi across the street (I would have gone there anyway, but they close at 9:00 p.m.). I will never waste my money in this dump again!
About 20 years ago I used to work in the shopping center where this restaurant is located. I ate there 2-3 times each week. The food was always fresh and well cooked. I moved back to the area recently and decided to go see some old friends. Well, those folks that ran it before are long gone and the new operators are pretty terrible. I ordered an old favorite, chicken and broccoli. I had to order to go since the dining room is now used as storage for paper plates and sodas. The store looks terrible. It's dirty, ceiling tiles are falling down and everything is covered in a greasy film. Where's the health inspector? The food was awful. The chicken was like rubber, the broccoli was way undercooked and tasted like it was freezer burned. the sauce was not good, the flavor was weird, not like any brown sauce I've had before. The rice had crunchy pieces in it like it had been sitting out for a while. I was pretty disappointed. I think this place need to be scrutinized by the health department. There is no excuse for keeping a restaurant that dirty, The staff were all sitting around waiting for customers that were never coming because the food is so bad. I don't know what's keeping them in business.
Solid food. Not the best not the worst but for this local area there is no top Chinese restaurant. That said I'd order again.
Order wings and received left over wings that were reheated in oil. Mei Fun was leftover as well. My last time.
Wife ordered sweet and sour chicken with white race for me and pork fried rice for herself. Total was $23.00. No white rice was in my bag. Called and asked about the rice. I was told I had to drive 30 minutes each way to exchange my chicken for a new order. So spend an hour after it has been a long day. So when I suggested a do over tomorrow I was told she could not do it. The woman was rude and does not know what consist of good customer service. Did she refund the white rice on my bill? NO! I would have to carry this chicken around all day. I do not have a way to keep it cold. In the meantime I have nothing to eat with my chicken. I was told " I will give you the rice tomorrow." Again, where is my chicken. It was a mistake to even go by there. A business makes a mistake they should be obligated to fix it. I bet if I disputed the bill, I would get better customer service.
? smaller portions for the price. Food was eh. I normally go to Lucky Gardens in Colonial Heights but they were closed. We ordered the family pack. There's no difference between orange and General Tao chicken. Other then that it was okay
Too expensive and the amount of food provided was not sufficient. The taste of the food was disgusting and the presentation was abysmal. Customer service was also very unprofessional. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to eat fast food chinese cuisine. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
