This was my first visit as I've passed the location many times in my travels. Went to dinner with some dear friends. Atmosphere was nice, hostess friendly and our server too, however, you could tell they had a management change or adjustment by the newness of the staff details. Example, not bringing small plates to share appetizers for distribution. The food was simple, yet delicious, especially the scallops in my Linguine Pescatore. (See photo) I had a house salad and crab bites with a spicy remoulade which was divine! I used a little remoulade for my salad too on the side. With a little minor training for the detail overlooked, it could become a seafood lover's favorite local fare.

Riptide's is awesome!!!Debbie assisted in planning a rehearsal luncheon. We accomplished this with me being 4 states away. Staff was supportive and caring. Bea handled our group of 14 and another large group with aplomb.. Jessa was encouraging on our first visit and the Pastry chef made a coconut cream pie that will remain a treasured memory. The food was great and then ambiance welcoming. New favorite place in Virginia!!

Went with a friend for appetizers and drinks. We had a great waitress! Never needed a thing because she thought of everything! The restaurant was really nice and clean. The patio would have been awesome to sit out on but it was closed due to the rain. We ordered the gator bites, bacon wrapped scallops, and ahi tuna. I was very impressed that nothing was greasy, in any way, nor did it taste fishy. The flavor and texture was just really good. The first two arrived with a dipping sauce that really enhanced the fish but had a little bite to it. The tuna had ginger, and 2 dipping sauces as well. Talk about flavor! The tuna was perfectly cooked and arrived at the table warm. The plated presentation of our food was very nice as well. I am looking forward to returning for a meal in the future! I encourage you to give them a try. Nice atmosphere and friendly people. It's hard to find places that are happy to serve friends who come to socialize!

Such amazing food. We have been coming here for years, even before it was remodeled. We always ask for Bee. Upbeat and friendly and good at what she does! She is awesome. You won’t be disappointed.

Our dinner last night was perfect! The quality of the food was outstanding and the portions were huge. Our waiter did an amazing job. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was Delicious.Staff Professional and Friendly as Always.Definitely one of my favorite places to dine.

Fish Fry - the whiting was dry, chewy, and tasted plain. The hush puppies tasted old (perhaps freezer burn).Gator bites - were hit or miss, some tasted really good others had a weird taste, almost spoiled like.Fettuccine Alfredo with Crab was really good.Customer service was A+, professional and friendly staff.I was looking forward to this place.

Always good food. The service was excellent. Great vibe. Will definitely be back.

So we finally got the chance to try Riptides Seafood on Iron Bridge Rd and OH MY GOD!!!! Definitely don't be fooled by the looks. It was such a welcoming atmosphere inside. Everything was amazing from our service down to our food!! Hubby got the oysters which are only $1 each on Thursdays and I had the Siracha Tuna Bites for appetizers. I've never had fried tuna bites but I highly recommend them! For entrees hubby had the Cajun spiced whiting, fries and cole slaw. I had the fried seafood trio with whiting, shrimp and a crab cake. Hubby loovveeddd his fish and he's a hard one to please. My fish was perfectly cooked, shrimp was definitely hand breaded and fried while the crab cake was cooked to perfection and I rarely like crab cakes. We will definitely be back. I see why they've been voted best seafood restaurant 3 years in a row and I give them a 10 out of 10!!!
