Been coming to this place since early 2011. This is by far the best, most consistent Mexican restaurant in the state of Virginia. It was a great place before Covid ,however even as short staffed as they were today we had amazing food and service as always. They value you as a person and as a customer. If you have not been, check them them out and if you have, please continue to support this great place and great people. By they way, their salsa is delicious and can’t be touched.
It was my first time here. My daughter took me out for Mother's Day. I liked it at Jalapenos. The atmosphere was good, very spacious, they played a mixture of good music that wasn't over to loud. The food was good. I had the seafood chimichanga wich looked like it could be called a burrito but it was still good, nice chunks of lobster tail, scallops and shrimp. The waitress to very pleasant and knew how to serve. She was very consistent on checking on us which was a major plus. The prices were also a plus because it didn't break bank. Thank you so much we enjoyed our time, food and services received at Jalapenos.
Several of us were in town for Jeff Cup. This place was across the parking lot from our hotel-several tried it based on the rating--Most of us were very disappointed. Strawberry margarita was syrupy and barely any ice. Was hard to drink because of it's poor taste. Chips/salsa were fair. The cup of cheese was the white cheese, which I found also very, very tasteless. The enchilada was fine but the chicken taco was very dry. The staff was very nice and attentive. Some in our group got a steak which was recommended and they said it was bad. The mojito was ok, but strong. Rice and beans were average at best--Sadly being in a small strip mall--no real character inside.
Ordered on a whim this week because our regular spot was closed, let me just say.. we have a new regular spot. We ordered the shrimp quesadilla, ACP, chicken nachos, the pastor tacos, and a few sides. EVERYTHING was top notch. They have the BEST white sauce I’ve ever had. We’ve eaten at every Mexican spot around here and these guys seriously know what they’re doing! We ordered Togo but the service during pick up was quick and friendly. 11/10 recommend.
When you order take out always ignorant people on the phone then when you call back for a problem staff don’t handle it they rudely give the phone to the manager ,never going back they could care less about your business ,tired of there being a problem every-time we order ,being rude to customers who help give you a job to make Money is not cool . Oh and after all that i open my quacamole salad just lettuce lolololo

First time going had a bit of a wait before anyone came the front with 3 other parties waiting. All the parties said they love this Resturant and everything is good. One customer said the large chimichanga is her favorite.So i was so excited and abby(very sweet) explained to me the lunch chimichanga is two small pieces and the dinner is one large chimichanga using her hands to show me how big it would be. I said great asked and paid for extra toppings. I get home was pleased with packaging but when i go to cut the chimichanga in half i see two small size looking enchiladas not a large nor medium size chimichanga. I call back and get a different woman that couldnt find my order but said no you only get one small chimichanga at lunch and two small at dinner. I said no thats not what she said . This woman cared -0% that i paid apprx $23.00 for basically two soft rolled tacos with toppings. Bad service and i will spread the word of misrepresenting you items.
Phenomenal authentic Mexican cuisine. Extremely great staff. Our server recommended a great dish and the hostess very thoughtfully showed/walked my daughter in the direction of the bathroom. We highly recommend Jalapeños!
