Does it get any better than Don Pepe? Nope. If you want delicious food served fast and by some of the coolest, nicest people on the planet, you absolutely MUST stop here.I've never had anything here that I haven't liked. I also have allergies to dairy, shellfish, and tree nuts - they've always been more than happy to work around them and make sure that my food is safe for me to eat. If I had any questions about a food dish, they were always more than happy to research and answer my questions before ordering. Plus their salsa is always great.I admittedly love to order their burritos deluxe each time I come, as it's always delicious, but they have a number of other dishes sure to please pretty much anyone. There's a lot of food (and great prices!), so expect that you may take some home with you. But never fear - the food tastes just as good the next day as it does hot and fresh. Assuming that you don't end up going back later that night to nibble at it until it's all gone. There's a reason that leftovers from this place rarely make it to my lunch the next day.
The staff was friendly and helpful. On the road we read the reviews and decided to take a chance. The food was hot and well prepared. We just did not care for the overall taste compared to other local tex mex places. I got the enchiladas Supremes . Nice portion but tasted nutmeg or ginger in my dish. If you like a unique taste go here. I am more old fashion and expected a little less corn tortilla that I can cut with a fork not knife. Bathrooms needed cleaning as well.
Update as of February 2022. We've been to Don Pepe a number of times for both lunch and dinner as a family. Every time we have gone we were able to be seated immediately. The food is delicious and the service was very quick. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and attentive. For anyone traveling I-95, Don Pepe is an easy stop as they are right off the interstate. Whether you are local or just passing through, Don Pepe is definitely a good place to stop for lunch or dinner.
Don Pepe is the absolute worst Mexican food. We are so disappointed and really want our money back. First of all what Mexican restaurant give you an option... beans Or rice, most Mexican restaurants I know give you beans And rice. Ain't nothing tender about the chicken or steak my shrimp tasted wired... I don't if it was cooked through or not. I had to spit it out and throw in the trash. Their food isn't seasoned, it's very bland. An expensive $30 lessoned learn and Never again ?
Pleasant people for the most part but food is mediocre and bland without the cheese sauce! I hate that the chips and dip salsa cost now and do not come with the meals anymore. My biggest issue is the to-go boxes!! They leaked EVERYTIME I ever have ordered to go, WONT BE BACK!
He got my order immediately and grabbed what I asked for right there and then; which made me feel like he was there only for my table. I ordered hand made guava and the Don Pope Burrito.

The food was so-so, probably would have been better if it was hot. After they gave me my food and my order was rung up, I had to ask for my drink, when they gave me my drink I had to ask for a straw. When I got back to my hotel I found out I didn't have utensils to eat with. Not the best first impression.
Arrived for lunch and was greeted and sat quickly. The waitress was attentive and sweet. We ordered the burrito which was as big as my torso, fajitas, and quesadillas. Everyone was happy with their order. The price was about what I’d expect. I don’t live in the area but with the hotel being in the parking lot I’m sure when I come back will visit again.
group of 8 of us stayed at the Quality Inn, Walked over to Don Pepe's . Greeted by a smiling friendly staff. Ordered our Drinks and "swam" in my Margareta / Corona bowl !! Steak special I was told was DELICIOUS !! A few of us had a fully loaded Quesadilla , Chicken, shrimp, beef peppers onions cheese !! FANTASTIC !! And the final bill was super reasonable !!
