appealing plating, delicious ocra and whitefish ...
It has been a very long time since I was in Chester so I decided to go to Captain D's.I got the Tilapia combo and it was great.A special shout out to the cashier DT for taking care of me, I really appreciate it.Bermuda Square has changed a lot since the last time I was there.Shoneys, Ukrops/Martin's are history, there was a bank and that's soon to be a Little Caesars.Across the road Winn Dixie is gone.I remember Friendlys restaurant.Do you know how long Captain D's has been at Bermuda Square?
I ordered a fish sandwich for lunch. I had never had one and honestly I wasn't expecting much but the sandwich was HUGE! Two big pieces of fish on a good bun with lettuce and I think mayo not tartar sauce. It was hot and it was delicious. I would have given 5 stars but there was too much chatter behind the counter and not paying enough attention to the customers in front. But when they did pay attention to their customers they were very polite.
Wen to drive thru and the line was long but steady moving then was able to order my food no problem, very polite and very professional personnel. Also they repeated my order just to make sure, then got to the window, was greeted and served like a professional fast food restaurant. Also took a quick look inside, restaurant was clean and everyone with clean shape uniforms. Thx for the great service. I will definitely come back.
Haven't been to this location in a long time. It was very clean, my food was correct and the customer service was perfect.
This place (surprisingly) is consistently good. The staff is friendly and efficient. They have a ton of side dish options and a grilled white fish meal that my parents enjoy, along with a senior discount (making meals very affordable for elderly diners). I credit this to good management. Only negatives: The place is in need of a face-lift and has been known to serve baked potatoes that were held too long in the warmer. I've had past-prime potatoes in expensive places too... so I'll overlook that last issue and hope management reads this. Otherwise, keep up the good work. ?
This was first time eating in here since reopening we were quite disappointed - food was bearly warm - portions were half the usual size - had to ask for sauce/ butter - no one came back to check on us for any problems. Have always liked their food but this particular store was quite lacking - tried Hopewell store & they out shine this store by 1000%.
It's been the same for decades. Been there since I was a kid... I'm 50. You know what you're getting... It's fast food fish. But it's tasty tasty food fish. And they still have one of the best hush puppies around and really good green beans. My rating isn't because it's "oh so amazing" ... It's because it's really good for what it is. I've always believed it's much better than "those other guys with the crinkles". They closed the only D's I had in my neighborhood so I visit this location when I can. I usually drive thru. I can't rate the inside customer service because I haven't done it in years but the drive thru was solid. I'll always come back through when I've got a taste for it. It really is it's own thing.
Usually love the food, but it was late at night and I think the oysters were fried in some stale oil
Order was wrong so I drove back around. The lady took my food and switched out the fish for shrimp. The shrimp was old and crusty, I just threw it out. Very disappointing because friends spoke so highly of the food
