My kids and I come here often. We love stopping in for a bite after skate lessons. The food is great here and the staff is very friendly. The owners and family always make us feel welcome and provide wonderful service and friendly conversation. The kids love the chicken tenders and fries. Always crispy and flavorful. We are excited about the recent changes and cannot wait to try some of their new menu items.
My family really really really wanted to support this place and have done so until last weekend because it’s more convenient than leaving the building. The conversation started out about tables we’ve sat at for MONTHS with his permission and knowledge and also a food/bev order. In less than 10 minutes, the owner basically expressed that he has so much money that he doesn’t even need to continue operating this business, saying “I can walk at any time”. Doesn’t seem like the best way to keep customers? Something must have happened because he used to be kind and enjoyable to speak to. I’m positive he left the conversation not thinking twice about what he said to me. Very disheartening.Also, my kid’s food orders have been *not great*, but we kept giving our money in support. The salads are good though. ??
Good food
This is a snack bar inside a hockey rink that used to have solid staple foods and very welcoming of hockey families. It’s currently the only option for families skating but would struggle greatly if it were a free standing establishment. Pork is mush, quesadilla is greasy, hamburgers are dry and tasteless…but for a busy hockey family it gets it done when you’re trying to balance work, hockey practice and kids on a weekday night.
