This was our first-time to "The Butcher's Son". The food was excellent overall. Service was Great! The only thing that we would give maybe 3 stars to is the she-crab soup...it was a little thinner then most she-crab soups we've had in other establishments. It also had a very acidic taste which was unusual, very different from the taste of Sherry. The crab dip however was amazing!!!!! My Ribeye was so tender cooked at a perfect medium temperature, the garlic sage butter and wild mushrooms added was tantalizing. The oreo bread pudding with it's texture, taste and warmth had me at a lost for words, it was that delicious!Josh was our server and he was very knowledgeable, engaging, and personable. We appreciated his sense of humor and his ability to remain professional and intuitive while being humorous. He allowed us to take a slower dining experience so that we had a chance to enjoy each course without feeling rushed or being bombarded with several plates of food in front of us and to allow us time for savoring the taste of the food. A Wonderful accommodation. My husband and I will return soon.

We had visited this restaurant for a surprise party a few months earlier, so my wife and I decided to go back by ourselves for our anniversary. As with all reviews, everything is subjective. Making the reservation online was a breeze and I got reminders via text. First, the place was extremely busy on a Thursday night, which is good. However, because everything is in one large space, the noise level was high. Now for the food: Both of us had she crab soup as an appetizer. Both liked it, though my wife said she thought the same soup we had on the previous visit was better. She had shrimp mac and cheese with a side of asparagus for her meal and said both were delicious. I had a spoonful and agreed. I had a sirloin with cucumber salad and mac and cheese. The salad was a bit too acidic for my taste and the mac and cheese was tasty. The steak, however cooked and seasoned perfectly, was tough to cut and a bit chewy, While I liked the taste, I had to work at getting the meat chewed. We would return, though I would probably try a different cut of meat.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance is warm, with classy bar vibe, in large part due to the two-story wall of spirits. It is family-friendly, but the atmosphere feels very adult. Our waiter was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The steaks were amazing. The French Dip Spring Rolls were fabulous, crispy on the outside with tender chunks of beef inside. I had the 14 oz NY Strip, medium rare, cooked perfectly, and it was melt-in-your mouth buttery. It came with two huge, tender scallops over a creamy bed of risotto. My wife had the rib eye, medium, also tender and delicious. It is a little pricey but I highly recommend it for a special night out. Overall, this was a fabulous eating experience.

Service and atmosphere are great we had the French dip egg rolls and the BBQ corn for apps both where amazing i had the beef tip pasta and my wife had a seafood special it came with steak she ordered it medium but it came out rare I didn't think the pasta was that great it lacked flavor sauce was like water and several of the beef tips had hard cartilage and fat which was not edible seafood special was great and we had a cookies and cream brownie for dessert which was really good overall we will go back just whatever you do stay away from the beef tip pasta dinner cost 149

Great selection of food! Everything was cooked to perfection and the waitstaff was on point. If you're dining on a busy night, call and make a reservation to ensure a table.

Starting with the good: the restaurant overall has a nice ambience (cozy, warm, etc.); hostess and waitstaff were very nice, accommodating and didn't constantly 'hover'-- he allowed us to pace the meal in general (kudos to him who looked like Jason Mamoa!). Of note, parking can be difficult to find as there are multiple businesses in the immediate and surrounding area. About the food: We ordered the calamari as an app. The calamari was, in my opinion, more on the rubbery side and greasy (coating slid off and was a little too greasy for my taste)... but the aloli/dip was fantastic. For the price of the app, in my opinion they could've done a little more with the calamari to reduce the rubbery, greasy texture. The drinks we purchased from the bar were also good. For our main course the majority of our party had steak. The waitstaff and chef/cooks were great about updating the special to change the steak from NY strip to ribeye (thank you). Steaks were ordered at medium; however, there were inconsistencies in the cook (parts of my steak were medium but parts of it were also on the very rare side-- the same occurred with others in our party). Roasted brussels with balsamic were one of our sides and in my opinion weren't roasted very long (basically raw and dressed with balsamic). The portions were very large-- which is great- I couldn't eat 1/2 of the meal and had plenty left over (so you may be able to order and share between 2 people). The price of the main course was around $50-- which I believe is over priced given the quality of the meat itself and the inconsistency of the cook on the steak (parts of it were medium, parts rare). A place known for steak should have the 'cook' of the steak down pat. For dessert we had creme brulee -- which was very, very good! Bottom line: with a total price in excess of $450 for a party of 4, I thought it was overpriced for what I thought was an average meal.

OMG!!! This place is a whole vibe. I went here for dinner and everything was so delicious. For my drink I got the martini made with grey goose and stuffed olives and hands down the best martini I ever had. The food was cooked to perfection ( I ordered the steak medium rare). There’s not going to be any reason that you would need to pick up the salt or pepper at this restaurant. The ambiance was so nice and the service outstanding. I will definitely be a repeat offender lol… see you soon.

Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and always checking to see how your experience is and if you need anything. The decor is tasteful, but the lighting was so dim during dinner, it was hard to read menus. The food is consistent regarding flavor and presentation. Portions are very good and there are plenty of options for accompaniments.

We had a delicious dinner! The ambiance was congenial, relaxed, and not loud. Our server, Nicole, was professional, pleasant, and attended us well, with appropriate timing. Our food was as described, of high quality, and perfectly cooked. We were pleased that many of the wine offerings paired well with our menu choices. The chocolate torte dessert was one of the very best we have ever tasted. We have already recommended The Butcher's Son, and shall return soon!

A wonderful experience. Great food and awesome wait staff. Vince was easily one of the best waiters I have ever had. Will definitely come back to visit when in the area.
