The food here never disappoints. It’s my favorite Mexican restaurant in the portsmouth, Norfolk, VB, Chesapeake area. I wish I could give a description on the atmosphere but I’ve in been there only early in the morning or gotten take out. Music is very lively every time though. My server was super nice and accommodating. Literally have nothing bad to say about the place, food or workers.And the little store adjacent to it has everything I look for when I want to cook myself.
I am sad 36 years of my life have passed that I didn't know Taqueria La Hacienda existed. The food was absolutely amazing. The menu was extensive and had so much variety. Lots of offerings that I wasn't used to from my usual Mexican restaurant haunts, but so excited to try! The options for proteins alone were impressive. We dined in on a Sunday late afternoon, and there was a little bit of a wait (nothing crazy, like 15 minutes) but after eating there, I understand why, and would gladly wait longer. As soon as we were seated, the service was quick and friendly, the drinks were never empty (the margaritas ?) and the atmosphere was so inviting. I cannot wait to go back and try more. I hope to make this a regular stop!

4.5⭐ hungry for a breakfast burrito I looked up places to get one. This restaurant was at the top of the list and upon scan of menu I decided to give it a try. The location seems a bit industrial but inside is very welcoming. To my surprise the is also a convenience store in the premises where it appear you can get just about anything to make your own Mexican Feast. There is also a bar where i am sure one might enjoy a few drinks and a good meal. I ordered the Burrito Amanece Huevos Jamon. While it did not come with any sides it was quite sizable and included what one might call sides within the burrito. It took about 10 minutes for my burrito to be prepared. Served with both red and green salsa I found this selection very satisfying. I am not food critic but I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Mexican food.
Best meal Ive had while traveling here for work. Had the birria tacos and the al pastor quesadilla. Both were amazing. Definitely cant wait to come back.
Have you ever sat down to eat at a place and you could just tell from the moment you parked your car that you would have an amazing tasting meal? The food, servers and the atmosphere is great here. Restaurant is connected to a market that offers imported groceries which was cool to walk around while waiting on the food. I had the California burrito, it was on point.

Yo..the best Carne Asada fries I've tasted! Hubby loves this place, we live in NN and have no problem driving over the water. AUTHENTIC, the flavor is ridiculously deliciousness all through my teeth! The tacos..stupid, omg the Torte sandwich, I ate on it for 2 days and it was still banging!!
Prices have gone way up food quality and quantity have gone down Ive been eating here for years and just ordered carne fries now 14 bucks and chips and salsa and the salsa was almost empty for 5 bucks.. guacamole was turning brown just definitely not a great experience
Was shie this place by one if my friends. I had been looking for a good authentic restaurant (especially for tacos). Hands down the best tacos I've had in the last year! So good that I plan on going many more time. So if you like succulent tacos please give this place a chance!
