I have been ordering from Shun Xin since they first opened and will always recommend them. Over the years (yes years) I’ve had maybe 5 meals that were not quite great but really, every place has a bad day.I want to add that during the pandemic they worked tirelessly to keep the customers happy. The family owned business is also very easy to order with but also if your bill isn’t quite right, they are always willing to figure it out and get everything right.
I've ordered take out here in the last year and it was good but this week, ugghhhh. The Pad Thai was flavorless and instead of getting our correct order, we received some terrible chicken with slimy vegetables entree. It wasn't even edible it was just slimy & tasteless.. Worst Chinese meal ever. I asked for Chinese mustard with my order and none was included to help the lack of taste.
I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli. While eating it, something scratched me under my tongue, so I picked it out and it was a small shred of METAL! Luckily it was a long, skinny shred similar to a bread bag tie and didn’t do more damage than a scratch. Not to mention, it was my leftovers that I put in the microwave! I’m so glad it didn’t start a fire! Definitely won’t be ordering from this restaurant anymore.
Worst food I’ve ever had delivered! And when I called, all I got was excuses. Ordered chow meIn, received lo meIn. Requested extra spicy generals chicken, got extra sweet some other chicken dish. Had gristle in the house special egg foo young, but according to them, that was to be expected... ugh! Not worth the money, for sure!!!! If I could charge them back, I would!
Very good service, and the best Chinese food in this area?????
This place is super hit or miss. Sometimes the food is amazing and others it’s meh. I go all the time but switch off with China sun. My favorite is the peanut butter chicken and hot n sour soup. Prices are good and staff are friendly.
Worst tasting curry and pad thai we have ever had. Maybe the Chinese dishes are good but the thai is not. Spring rolls were okay. We will go elsewhere in the future.
We were visiting the area and ordered from Shun Xin for dinner. Overall we enjoyed the tasty flavors. However, we felt that the restaurant was tacky in the way they cook and charge for their food. First of all, this restaurant tends to use onions as 'fillers' to make the dishes appear full. A 1/3 of our lomein dish was loaded with big onion wedges, conveniently stacked on the bottle of the container hidden away. I don't remember other Chinese restaurant using onions in their lomein dishes. Other meat stir fry dishes we ordered were also overwhelmingly and unnecessarily loaded with onions. Secondly, we asked for extra shrimps on our 'jumbo' shrimp fried rice dish, expecting a couple of dollars more. However, Shun Xin charged us $1 for each extra regular size shrimp they added on. I know it's covid and inflation, and everything cost more, but what they're doing is charging more for lesser quantity and quality food.
Hidden gem well worth the trip to Great Bridge. Delicious fresh food with fresh ingredients. Light and satisfying, generous portions. Authentic gourmet Chinese home cooking. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere.
Ordered here a few nights ago and the food was amazing. Such a lovely family business that put lots of love into their food.
