Horrible customer service. HORRIBLE! Doors are locked so you can’t go in to get a mobile pick up order and you’re told to go through the drive through line. So you wait 30 minutes in line for them to tell you that you have to come inside for that. So you get let inside and still have to wait 10 minutes for anyone to speak to you. Then you get told that they don’t have your mobile order and they don’t give refunds and that the official Popeyes app is apparently considered a “third party app that they can’t stand” And they refuse to give a number to call so you can get a refund.
Ordered fish sandwich online, when I got there to pick up, dining area was closed like 30min early , no instructions to go thru drive thru, after waiting in drivethru line, get to window only to be told that they sold out of fish. Really?? Had to negotiate substitutions.... aggravatedEnded up getting a 550 points added to online Popeyes account.. price for the missing fish. Overall not a very inviting experience
This has to be the most dysfunctional popeye's chicken I've been to. I waited in line 20 minutes had to listen to 2 employees argue about who's doing what, and why they had no money to buy cigarettes, weed, and pay a cell phone bill.
I'm giving two stars because the lady was very nice and drive thru was fast, BUT I had to throw my entire sandwich out. I took one bite and something was very wrong. It tasted like something was very wrong with the chicken. This was my first time at the Chesapeake location but I frequently get a spicy chicken sandwich from the Popeyes in Virginia Beach and this sandwich tasted nothing like any Popeyes I've ever been to before. I literally think that the chicken went bad. I'm pretty freaked out to be honest.
Waited for like 45 minutes for my order. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a big box. Sandwich was soggy,but decent. They gave me a breast and a thigh in my big box. The breast was the driest breast I've ever had. Both pieces of chicken were burnt. Worst popeyes experience I've ever had.
The night crew on January 17th (Monday)best crew I’ve seen since I’ve been here, the chicken was nice and fresh and the two in front got my order to me nice and fast with the best attitudes , this Popeyes has came a long way
Had stale biscuits, only put half potatoesand half coleslaw into the container. Supposed to be a portion for 4. Chicken was old too. Don't know why but seemed like the employees didn't want to be there. One outside on the phone and the other two just were there to get paid. Not like they were busy. Seemed like a ghost town and no customers. Was hoping for better
I came here on the 19th of December to get some food. And both only was a his location very dirty it was very very slow and lacking competent workers. I sat for a half hour waiting for another unfortunate customer of this Popeye's location. Just to be told by the employee with lack of customer service skills that there was no chicken ??. Even though I was staring at your warmer fool of chicken. As my wife bewildered asked what do you mean your out of chicken, as the employee explained I don't run this place and they forgot to order chicken. All the while the 3 guys in the kitchen are laughing. I mean your employee was explaining me how your management lack of competence in ordering chicken, which I may add is the main thing you sell. As me and my wife stand there looking at a whole bunch of chicken. I'm going to be very nice by not following this up with what I think the problem here was. Because of the issues plaguing are world today. But I'm sure you can understand, considering while we wait outside in the car we see plenty of other customers coming out with chicken. Anyway needless to say, I will not be coming back to this location untill something major changes. And hopefully that problem can be fixed. Sincerely a concerned Popeye's used to be customer.
Went through the drive thru on Jan 6, 2022 around 6:50pm the female working had the worst/nasty attitude ever. I’m surprised the management would have someone like her working and being rude to your paying customers.
Took about 5 minutes to get the order taken. They could barely hear through the equipment. Then, it took about 10 minutes to get our food. Their equipment was malfunctioning. Finally got the food. The breaded shrimp was 90% bread 10% shrimp flavoring. The location needs work, big time. Avoid this place for now.Disappointing is the understatement of how I felt.
