I usually enjoy the occasional meal from Popeyes but this one wasn't hitting on much. The fries weren't hot. No biscuit in the box and about half of the amount of fries that I usually get with a large meal. The size of the chicken strips have gotten much smaller than they used to be and missing that Cajun flavor. Wasn't even offered any sauces and when I requested them it was as if I had asked for an entire meal replacement.
one order was old and was cold. got the chicken sandwich plain with no mayo and no pickles and the bread was rock solid, there was no breading on most of the chicken, there was the hugest amount of cold mayo on it (it took 3 napkins to wipe it all off) and it had pickles. the second order, a spicy chicken sandwich, was mostly fine. the bottom bun of that bread was also hard but not hard enough to return like the whole first order. also ordered the strawberry lemonade and it tasted like whatever the strawberry is that they add to the lemonade was extremely fermented... like drinking an alcoholic drink with 6% alcohol. it tasted like the pink boones farm. so if thats your thing then ?
The people are nice, but I don’t know that my order has ever been right. Just today, I paid an upcharge for all dark meat and ended up with a mixed 4 piece, which was also all regular, instead of spicy.
Been to this Popeyes a few times. Was normally a alright experience. Today was very different. Apparently there is now an upcharge for the inconvenience of ordering all dark meat. This isn't listed anywhere in drive through or in the store. It's not even an option to select when ringing some one up ( they added 2 jalapeno on the receipt to cover this new upcharge). The girl who took my order was very inconvenienced that I tried to order all dark meat, I could tell by the extremely loud sigh she let out. I ordered a 4 piece mild, all dark with a large unsweet tea. I was given a 4 piece dark with one mild and three spicy and a medium sweet tea. And was also charged for the extra to modify my order. I'm not going back here ever again.
Last visit for me. I've tried a few other times and it was not great but today will be my last visit. I went at opening and the red beans and rice were obviously from the night before, crunchy and dried out mixed in with new. Yuck. Just threw it all away. Won't waste any more money here.
Staff unfriendly and heard them arguing about what that extra $4 charge on our order was, told it was 4$ up charge for all dark meat (never heard that before but whatever and since the other person was confused about it pretty sure that means we were ripped off) and still didn’t put all dark meat ? joke of a Popeyes and a ripoffEdit: 2 pieces are white meat. Insane.
Worse experience ever!! Arrived at the battlefield Popeyes drive thru approximately 12 :30ish on Feb 10, 2022 and attempted to order a $6 box mild breast & wing. Rep immediately stated that I couldn’t get that so I said I’ll get the regular combo but again before I could finish my request of what I wanted she rapidly ask the question as I had already attempted to state the request. Every time a word was spoken she would speak at the same time. So kindly finished the order and then I felt as if my money shouldn’t be spent at a place of business that is rude and very poor customer service. Therefore I drove to Arby’s next door and received great customer service and was allowed to place an order. Hopefully the General manager will read this and train his/her employees.
I’m not quite sure what’s wrong w every Popeyes I go to in Virginia but this one has to be the worst. We’ve gone to this location before & I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt b/c it’s never been this bad, but after tonight I’m done. My fiancé went inside to get food & has been inside for almost an hour waiting. The customer service is the worst, if he didn’t order already we would just leave. If you want to wait an hour to get “fast food” & horrible customer service, be my guest.
I honestly love Popeyes fried chicken. I hate the waiting though. Basically 3 orders ahead of me all ordering fried chicken and you can see the warmers full of spicy and mild still wait for 10 minutes to get a 2 piece meal. Maybe they do that on purpose so they don't run out of chicken IDK. Was not not like that when I worked at a Cajuns fried chicken.
I was very surprised as I have eaten at about 5 Popeyes in this area. If I am craving Popeyes, I will buy at this one for sure. Keep it up guys and girls! You are never depressed and so, I feel good coming here even for togo food. Keep smiling! ?
