I ordered take out. This was my first time eating here and I have to say that my meal was great.I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was seasoned well and the waffle was good, but the star was that apple bourbon glaze. You definitely need more than one container of it for your plate, in my opinion.
I love going here for breakfast or brunch. Everything is made from scratch. The biscuits are the best that I have ever had. The wait staff is always friendly. Prices are on par for the portion sizes. All the dishes that I have gotten have tasted really good and never needed any extra seasoning. Bonus is kids eat free all day everyday as long as you get a meal as well.
Stopped in for a late breakfast. Got the Pop's special. Eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. Everything was good, the home fries are outstanding.
Pop’s Diner Co., Chesapeake is a hidden gem. I arrived here 20 minutes prior to closing (3:00 pm). I was greeted as if they just open. My server, was attentive, polite and very friendly. A traite we wish most restaurants shared.I ordered a salad w/fried chicken. I was not disappointed. Every folk full was tasteful. The fried chicken was excellently cooked. I really expected nothing less of the diner from the moment I walked through their doors.The temperature could have been brought up a little. After about 10 minutes I knew why several customers still had their coat on. I was allowed to complete my meal even as the prepared to close.I recommend anyone who want a meal as they ask, to not drive pass Pop’s Diner at Greenbriar.
Went here this morning with friends for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed! The restaurant was very clean and cutely decorated, we all really loved the paintings. Staff was nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive.The food was awesome too! We got cheesy fries to share, which tasted delicious and were not overloaded/greasy/soggy, which was awesome.The pancakes were one of the best I’ve had in the area, sweet and fluffy, and the powdered sugar was a nice touch. Everything was a good portion and price for the portion.My friends got the Country Fried Steak and a burger, which they said were also very good. Everything came out cooked perfectly, warm, and very quickly, even though the restaurant was quite busy. Again, very great staff, thank you for a wonderful brunch this morning.
The portions are always really good sized and the staff is very friendly. The food is excellent and they are locally owned. Only opened from 7-3 so you better get there if you want great food and a friendly face.
My husband and I visited Pops last Saturday around 1pm. EVERYTHING about this spot was wonderful! Hubby ordered the shrimp and grits which was to die for and I ordered the waffle combo- Whoooo----every bite was scrumptious! Def will be going back!
I ordered Bananas Foster French Toast. I couldn't believe my eyes when the plate was set before me. All the ingredients to make the sauce were on my plate. Raw white and brown sugar, a heaping mound of cinnamon and a large pile of pecans. Albeit the restaurant was very busy and l didn't say anything because l was with a group of women that l just met. I scrapped all the uncooked sugar off of my French toast and then it was edible.
Service and food are always top notch. Restaurant is always clean.
