Used to come here all the time until I moved, especially when it was first built and I could walk there. Randomly came back to visit, still awesome. Honestly, I don't expect a lot of good customer service these days, and I don't blame them, but I still received it. Great experience and full stomach with leftovers.
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant within a 30 mile radius. Their vegetarian and vegan menu is all delicious and not just greasy vegetables or refried beans in a tortilla. Staff is very polite and accommodating. The margarita was also delicious. We will only be coming here for Mexican food in the future. No other restaurant in the area comes close.
Came from out of town. The restaurant closing time on Fridays states 11 pm on the door. On google states 10:30 pm. Showed up with my daughter at 10:15 pm. Yes I know that’s late, but if you’re open, you’re open. The female hostess who was talking with 5 other guys at the check in counter contemplated for about 10 seconds when I asked her if they were still open. She stated “we close in 15 minutes, we’re not taking anybody else”. That’s terrible. The sign is big and bright and says OPEN.
Our server was very nice, I got surprised with how fast food was ready because I was expecting a long wait due to the amount of people there but I loved it. Margarita is delicious.
The best dining experience everrrr! They have not once messed up a meal or a drink in over a decade!! Come here when you just don't feel like cooking, but want fast, good, hot, nourishing food, great and attentive service, and great drinks!?? Every visit has turned into a celebration!
I am so angry and disgusted!!! I chose to commute to this restaurant from Virginia Beach, when there's a Plaza Azteca right near my house. I just wanted to enjoy the scenery and weather along the way. The waitstaff looked over worked and exhausted with no desire to serve but non the less, we managed to still get our food in a timely matter, fresh and hot and not to mention, very good! Of course you can't eat it in one sitting so I brought it home. I didn't open it again until the morning and warmed it for breakfast. Still so much that I only warmed half just to discover while chewing, the longest piece of hair entangled in my mouth and food. I have braids so in no way shape or form was it my hair. I almost immediately regurgitated in my mouth. I absolutely hate finding hair in my food especially when it can be avoided with simple hair net solutions! Now I've wasted time, money and gas and the rest of the food was tossed. I can still imagine that hair in my mouth which makes me sick to my stomach. I hope at least yesterday was their "wash day"?
I'm not normally impressed with Plaza Azteca restaurants, but this one was good! Good enough to actually eat here again even! My friend and I came here for lunch and he ordered the lunch burrito fajita and I ordered the California burrito. He eats here often but this was my first time in this specific location. Their California burrito is the standard California style with french fries inside, and while it isn't as good as a competitor in Virginia Beach, this was still enjoyable. I do wish they served Dos Equis ámbar on draft but oh well. Either way, I was pleased with the food as well as the friendly and timely service.
The vegan bowl was amazing. It was greater than my expectation. Usually when I come to Mexican restaurants they don’t have anything for me to eat but there’s a whole section on the menu for vegetarian/vegan diets. So thank you!
We love this place! People are always friendly, helpful and kind. Food is fresh and hot.
Fast and friendly service. Food was pretty good, above a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area, but the real success is in the red salsa they serve with the chips. It's hands down one of the best salsa's in the area if not the best.
